L Series Motorized Latch Retraction
A Simple & Sleek Controlled Access Solution
Introduction
A modern conference room with a table and chairs, showcasing the Schlage L Series Motorized Latch Retraction product on a door in the foreground.
Motorized latch retraction capability on the Grade 1 L Series mortise can provide a more secure, elegant, and quieter solution for doors that commonly employ electric strikes. Six functions span keyed, non-keyed, and lever control options. It can be retrofitted to the same pocket of a standard L Series mortise and electrified through the door, allowing the frame to stay intact. As part of the L Series family, it offers the same strength, dependability, and longevity of Schlage's most popular electrified mortise line.
A detailed view of the Schlage L Series mortise lock mechanism, illustrating its internal components such as the motor, gears, and latch bolt, along with visible wiring connections, demonstrating its electromechanical operation.
1 Electric strikes have an exposed latch mechanism, leaving them vulnerable to manipulation if not properly installed or protected with a latch guard.
2 LX available on all functions; RX available on all functions except L9582 and L9696EL/EU.
