Included Accessories
The dock includes a power adapter and regional power cords for various outlets (North America - NA, Europe - EU, United Kingdom - UK, Asia Pacific - AP, Japan - JP).
Connecting the Power
To connect the power:
- Connect the included AC adapter to the power adapter jack on the back of the dock.
- Connect the power cable to the AC adapter.
- Plug the power cable into a wall outlet.
Front Panel Ports and Indicators
The front panel of the dock features the following:
- SD 4.0, UHS-II Card Reader: For reading SD memory cards.
- USB-A 3.2 Gen2 Port: Supports up to 10 Gbps data transfer speeds. It also provides USB Battery Charging 1.2 (5V/1.5A) for compatible devices like smartphones.
- Headphone Jack: For audio output.
- Thunderbolt 4 Host Port: Connects to your laptop and supports Power Delivery up to 96W.
- Power Indicator Light: Shows the power status of the dock.
- Connectivity Indicator Light: Indicates the status of the Thunderbolt connection.
- Power Button: To turn the dock on or off.
Rear Panel Ports
The rear panel of the dock includes:
- Power Adapter Jack: Connects to the AC power adapter.
- HDMI Port: For connecting a display via HDMI.
- Thunderbolt 4 DFP Ports (2x): DisplayPort Alternate Mode ports, each providing 5V/3A power.
- Ethernet Port: Supports 10/100/1000/2500Mbps network speeds.
- USB-A 3.2 Gen2 / 10 Gbps Ports (3x): For connecting peripherals such as keyboards, mice, USB drives, cameras, and printers. Each port provides 5V/0.9A.
Connecting to Your Laptop
Follow these steps to connect the dock to your laptop:
- Connect one end of the Thunderbolt cable to your laptop's Thunderbolt 4 port.
- Connect the other end of the Thunderbolt cable to the Thunderbolt 4 host port on the front of the dock.
Compatibility and Display Support
The dock supports various host devices and display configurations. Note that support for Display Stream Compression (DSC) is based on the host device and monitor capabilities.

Thunderbolt Software and Device Management
When connecting to a Windows computer for the first time, a prompt will appear: "New Thunderbolt™ device have been attached." To approve the device for use, the application requires administrator privileges. Click "OK" to run the Thunderbolt software with administrator privileges.
You can manage Thunderbolt 4 devices and settings later by accessing the Thunderbolt application menu and selecting options such as:
- View Attached Devices
- Approve Attached Devices
- Manage Approved Device
- Settings
- Exit
Mounting Options
The dock can be mounted to the back of a monitor stand using the optional bracket (K34050), sold separately. This mounting solution has a weight limit of 13.2 lbs (6.0 kg).
Security Features
The dock is equipped with a security lock slot, allowing it to be secured to a desk or anchor point using Kensington security cables. Compatible locks include:
- Kensington MicroSaver® 2.0 Keyed Lock (K65020WW), sold separately.
- Kensington NanoSaver™ Keyed Laptop Lock (K64444WW), sold separately.
