Hardware Requirements

• Belkin Secure KVM M series
• Windows-compatible PC (Windows 10/11 8GB RAM)
• USB-to-RJ12 cable (F1DN-RC-USB-CBL) - For cable creation details, refer to the Belkin Administrator Manual at: Belkin Administrator Manual

Software Requirements

• OS: Windows 10/11 8GB RAM
• Belkin SKVM M series Terminal to RS-232 Software version 1.02

Installation Instructions

1. Download from Belkin Resource Center: Belkin Resource Center
2. Install the application: Run 'Belkin_RS232Term_setup_1.02.exe'. Follow the installation wizard, choosing the installation location and creating a desktop shortcut.
3. Launch the application: A window will appear. Click 'About' to verify the version.
4. Connect the Administrator PC and SKVM:
   • Connect the USB-A end of the USB-A to RJ12/RS-232 cable to the PC.
   • Connect the RJ12/RS-232 end to the RCU port on the SKVM.
   • Connect the AC power cable to the SKVM.
5. Select COM port: In the Belkin Serial Terminal application, select an available COM port from the dropdown menu.
6. Connect to SKVM: Click the 'Connect' button. The 'Connect' icon should change to 'Disconnect', and the status in the lower right corner should turn green, indicating 'Connected'.
7. Login: Enter the Administrator username and password. The default credentials for the first-time login are Username: admin1234 and Password: 1234ABCDefg!@#. It is recommended to change the password upon initial connection.

Important Note on Passwords: The main admin user account and password cannot be reset or deleted. If the password is lost, the SKVM/SKM will retain the last applied settings.
