Speaker Overview
Familiarize yourself with the buttons on your speaker:
- ① Power
- ② Volume -
- ③ Volume +
- ④ LED Light Indicator
- ⑤ Charging Port
- ⑥ AUX IN Port
- ⑦ Wrench
Bottom View: Features a 1/4" attachment point for tripods or suction cup mounts (sold separately).
Charging
To charge the speaker's internal battery:
- Connect one end of the included USB cable to the speaker's charging port (⑤).
- Connect the other end to a USB port or AC charging adapter.
The LED indicator (④) turns red while charging and turns off when fully charged. Charging may take up to 3 hours.
Pairing Your Speaker With a Bluetooth Phone
- Press and hold the Power button (①) for approximately 5 seconds. The speaker will announce "pairing mode" once powered on.
- On your Bluetooth device, go to the Bluetooth Manager, search for Bluetooth devices, and select "MiniLifeJacket2" to connect.
- If prompted, enter the PIN code "0000" and confirm.
Once paired, the speaker will audibly state: "You are now paired, enjoy."
Listening to Music on Your Speaker
- Play/Pause: Press the Power button (①) to play or pause music from your audio source.
- Next/Previous Song: Press and hold the Volume + (③) or Volume - (②) buttons for 2 seconds to advance to the next song or go back to the previous one.
- Increase/Decrease Volume: Press and hold the Volume + (③) or Volume - (②) buttons to adjust the volume.
Wired External Audio Input
Connect audio devices using the included 3.5mm Auxiliary Cable to the AUX IN port (⑥) on your speaker.
Activating Siri (iOS Devices)
If your speaker is paired with an iOS device capable of running Siri:
- Press the power button (①) three times to activate Siri.
Warranty Information
Altec Lansing One Year Warranty Card
This warranty covers the original consumer purchaser and is non-transferable. It covers products that fail to function properly under normal usage due to defects in material or workmanship. The product will be repaired or replaced at no charge for parts or labor for one year.
What Is Not Covered by Warranty: Damages or malfunctions not resulting from defects in material or workmanship, including those from unauthorized repairs, tampering, modification, or accidents.

For warranty service, contact Altec Lansing for problem determination and service procedures. Proof of purchase (bill of sale or receipted invoice) within the warranty period is required. Package and send defective products with a dated proof of purchase, a written explanation of the problem, and a valid return address to the authorized service center at your expense. Do not include other items or accessories.
Limitation of Warranties: No other express or implied warranties, including warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, apply beyond the express warranty period. Altec Lansing is not liable for incidental, direct, indirect, special, punitive, or consequential damages.
