A Closer Look

The Altec Lansing Mini Lifejacket Jolt features various ports and buttons for easy control:

  • Ports: USB, Micro USB, and AUX In Ports
  • Power Button: For turning the device on/off
  • Link Button: For connecting multiple speakers
  • Volume Down/Previous Track Button: Decreases volume or skips to the previous track
  • Volume Up/Next Track Button: Increases volume or skips to the next track
  • Color Change Button: Toggles light modes
  • Answer Calls/Voice Assistant Button: Manages calls or activates voice assistant

Charging

  • Full Charge Time: Approximately 4-5 hours.
  • Charging Indicator: A red light indicates the device is charging.
  • Charged Indicator: The light turns off when fully charged.

Powering On / Bluetooth Pairing

  • Power On: Press and hold the Power button for 2-4 seconds. The speaker will announce "Welcome to Altec Lansing".
  • Ready to Pair: The blue light will flash, indicating the speaker is ready to pair.
  • Paired: The blue light will become solid once successfully paired with a device.
  • On your device's Bluetooth settings, select "Mini Lifejacket JOLT" to connect.

House Party Mode

  • Parent Speaker Setup: After connecting Bluetooth, press and hold the Link button for 2-3 seconds. A green light will indicate the speaker is ready to pair as a parent speaker.
  • Adding Additional Speakers: Tap the Link button once on any additional speakers. The green light on these speakers will continue to flash when connected to the parent speaker.

Just Ask / Light Change Mode

  • Light Modes: Press the Color Change button to toggle between different light modes: Multi color slow fade, White pulse to music, Multi color pulse to music, White slow fade, Solid Blue, Multi color change, Off.
  • Activate Voice Assistant: Press the Answer Calls/Voice Assistant button to activate "JUST ASK" and speak to Siri or Google Assistant.
  • Note: The first time the unit is powered on, the light will automatically turn off after 20 seconds.

Controlling Music / Bluetooth Reset

  • Play/Pause: Press the Play/Pause button (▶).
  • Volume Up: Press the '+' button.
  • Volume Down: Press the '-' button.
  • Next Track: Press and hold the '►►|' button.
  • Previous Track: Press and hold the '|◄◄' button.
  • Disconnect Bluetooth: Press and hold the Play/Pause button for 5 seconds. The device will beep once.
  • Reset All Connections: Press and hold the Play/Pause button for 10 seconds. The device will beep twice.

Answering Calls

  • Volume Up: Press the '+' button.
  • Volume Down: Press the '-' button.
  • Answer Call/End Call: Press the phone icon button.
  • Ignore Call: Press and hold the phone icon button.
