1 Pairing

NOTE:

Pairing must be completed within three (3) minutes of turning the power ON to the fan receiver.

To pair your remote control:

  1. Power cycle your fan by removing power from the circuit breaker for 10 seconds and then re-enable power.
  2. Press and hold the [fan speed up] and [fan speed down] buttons on the remote control for 4-5 seconds.
  3. The LED will blink green.
  4. The green LED along with audible beeps will indicate that pairing is successful.
  5. Test remote control using the steps in section 2.

2 Remote Control Operation

NOTE:

On your fan, press the [mode switch button] while the fan is running.

Remote Control Button Functions:

  • [light toggle button]: Turns the light ON or OFF.
  • [fan toggle button]: Turns the fan ON or OFF.
  • Press or hold the [fan speed up] button to increase fan speed.
  • Press or hold the [fan speed down] button to decrease fan speed.

NOTE:

Your fan features 6 speeds. An audible tone will indicate when the speed is increased or decreased. When the fan has reached the minimum/maximum speed level, the fan will beep twice.

3 UV Auto-Off Feature

This feature automatically turns off the UV light after a fixed period of time. The feature is off by default. To enable/disable, press and hold the [light toggle button] and [fan speed up] for 4 seconds. The fan will beep, indicating a change. Default time: 45 minutes. Duration can be changed using the App.

4 Breeze Mode

Breeze Mode mimics the natural ebb and flow of winds in nature by varying the fan speed.

NOTE:

Breeze Mode always rotates your fan in the Summer (Counter-Clockwise) direction.

  1. To start Breeze Mode, press the [fan speed up] and [fan speed down] buttons for 4 seconds. The LED will blink green and the fan will beep.
  2. To exit Breeze Mode and return to standard fan mode, press and hold the [fan speed up] and [fan speed down] buttons for 4 seconds. The LED will blink green and the fan will beep. Your fan will return to the direction and speed it was set to prior to entering Breeze Mode.

5 Unpairing

NOTE:

Unpairing must be completed within 3 minutes of turning the power on to the fan receiver.

  1. When you re-engage power to the fans you want to unpair, press and hold the [fan speed up] and [fan speed down] buttons for 4 seconds.
  2. The LED will blink green, and the receiver will beep to indicate that unpairing is successful.

6 UV End-of-Life Notification and Reset Procedure

The fan automatically tracks module usage. When there is approximately 10% life remaining, the user will be notified by the light module blinking in an on/off pattern for the first 10 seconds after turning it on. This is an indication the user should replace the module.

To reset the fan's internal counter, press and hold the [UV light] and [fan speed down] buttons for 4 seconds. The fan receiver will beep short-long-short to indicate the reset was successful.

7 Fan Wi-Fi Reset

NOTE:

This function only resets the Wi-Fi settings.

  1. Press and hold the [fan speed up] and [fan speed down] buttons for 10 seconds.
  2. The LED will blink green and the receiver will beep to indicate that Wi-Fi reset is successful.

After the Wi-Fi resets, the fan will broadcast its factory set network name beginning with "WACFan."

NOTE:

Changes to your Wi-Fi network settings (SSID or Security Passphrase) will prevent your fan from connecting to the cloud. You can re-establish connectivity by performing a Wi-Fi Reset and using the WAC Smart Fans app to reconfigure the fan to connect to the network with the new settings.

8 Factory Reset

Using remote control

Remote Control Factory Reset:

  1. Press and hold the [light toggle button], [fan toggle button], and [fan speed up] buttons for 10 seconds.
  2. The LED will blink green and the receiver will beep to indicate that the factory reset is successful.

NOTE:

This will remove remote control(s), wall control(s), and WAC Smart Fans app connections.

9 Replacing the Batteries

Steps:

  1. Open the back of the remote with a flat screwdriver.
  2. Remove the back of the remote and put it aside.
  3. Remove the old batteries from the remote.
  4. Insert your new CR2032 batteries into the remote.
  5. Push in the back of the remote, making sure it locks into place.
  6. You are now ready to control your fan.
