1 Installation
Attaching the stand
- Line up the four posts on the top of the stand with the four holes on the back of the phone. Choose the position that provides your preferred tilt angle.
- Slide the stand into place until it is secure.

Connecting the phone
- Connect the handset cord to the handset jack on the phone.
- Optionally, connect an amplified headset to the headset jack.
- Connect the WAN port to your network using the provided Ethernet cable.
- Optionally, connect your desktop PC to the PC port using an Ethernet cable (not supplied).
- If your network supports Power over Ethernet (PoE), a power adapter is not required. The phone requires a DC 48V 0.3A PoE connection. If PoE is not supported, connect a DC 5V 2A power adapter to the power jack.

Setting up the phone
For use as an internal extension
The phone supports plug-and-play installation. It will automatically download its configuration from the FortiVoice system and display the extension number and name upon registration.
For use as an external extension
To use the phone outside the FortiVoice location as an external extension, manual configuration is required to connect to the Provisioning Server (FortiVoice unit):
- On the phone, press the Menu button.
- Select Settings > Provisioning.
- Enter the password: 23646.
- Select Static Provisioning Server.
- Set the Server to the public IP address of the FortiVoice unit.
- Press OK.
For use as a cloud extension
To use the phone with the FortiVoice Cloud service, manual configuration is required:
- On the phone, press the Menu button.
- Select Cloud.
- Enter the Cloud ID and press OK.
- Enter the User ID and press OK.
- Enter the PIN and select Submit.

3 Troubleshooting

Safety
Caution: This equipment is intended for use in Network Environment 0 per IECTR 62101. It connects only to PoE networks without routing to the outside plant.
This product should be powered by a Listed Direct Plug-In Power Unit marked LPS or Class 3, rated 5 Vdc, 2 A, or by a 48 Vdc PoE source.
E911 and Multi-line Telephone Systems
When used as part of a multi-line telephone system (MLTS), the phone's operation may be subject to E911 MLTS laws. These laws may require the MLTS to provide caller information (number, extension, location) to emergency services. Ensure compliance with applicable state and federal E911 MLTS laws, which is the purchaser's responsibility.

While this phone implements security and encryption, privacy of communications may not be fully ensured.

This device complies with Part 15 of FCC Rules. Operation is subject to two conditions: (1) it must not cause harmful interference, and (2) it must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation.

It generates, uses, and can radiate radio frequency energy. Improper installation or use may cause interference. There is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a specific installation.
