Installation Instructions
For 1078CT Model
- Drill a 3/4" diameter hole, 1 5/8" deep, for the contact. Drill a 3/4" diameter hole, 1 1/2" deep, for the magnet. (Hole saw arbors are available from Sentrol.)
- Strip the wire from the security system loop, insert it into the terminal block, and tighten. Test for continuity.
- Lightly coat the contact and magnet with RTV mounting compound (Sentrol part number 1905) and insert them into their respective holes.
For R1078CT Model
- Drill a 3/4" diameter hole, 1 5/8" deep, for the contact. The 1840 Magnet is designed to be mounted in the top channel of a metal entry/exit door. The magnet can be rotated to accommodate either wide or narrow top channels.
- Clean the top channel of the door.
- Position the magnet opposite the switch in the top of the door channel.
- Lightly coat the contact and magnet with RTV mounting compound (Sentrol part number 1905) and mount them into their respective locations.
