Installation Guides
06 Dash Cam Installation
Follow these steps to install the dash cam:
- Place the dash cam on the mount. Carefully route the power cable around the windscreen and tuck it under the trim.
- Plug the power cord into a 12V DC power outlet or the car cigarette lighter.
- Connect the power cord to the camera. The camera will auto-start recording once powered on.
The dash cam automatically powers on when plugged into a 12V accessory socket or cigarette lighter and the vehicle is started. To turn the device on manually, press and hold the power button [?] until the welcome screen appears. The camera will automatically start recording when powered on.
You need to insert a memory card [?] before recording. Ensure the dash cam is powered down before inserting or removing a memory card. Gently push the memory card into the slot until it clicks, and allow the spring release to push the card out.
Power the dash cam by connecting the charger to the car cigarette lighter and the dash cam. Ensure the dash cam records to your memory card properly. Before using a new memory card, format it within the camera using the format function. Always back up important data before formatting.
Mount the rear camera and dash cam as shown in the diagrams. Use the provided rear camera cable to connect the rear camera to the front camera.
07 Rear Camera Installation
To install the waterproof rear camera with a parking assist function:
- Locate a suitable mounting position for the rear camera (e.g., rear windshield or license plate area) ensuring a clear view behind the vehicle.
- Clean the mounting surface thoroughly with an alcohol wipe for proper adhesion.
- Use the included mounting bracket or adhesive pad to secure the camera.
- Route the rear camera cable along interior trim panels, headliner, and pillars towards the front of the vehicle, using cable clips or tucks.
- Connect the rear camera cable to the "Rear Cam" port on the main dash cam unit.
- For parking assist, connect the rear camera's trigger wire to the reverse light circuit. Locate reverse light wires (near rear lights/trunk) and use a multimeter/tester to identify the power wire.
- Connect the trigger wire to the reverse light wire using a wire tap or solder. This enables the rear camera to display automatically when the vehicle is in reverse.
- Test by shifting into reverse. The dash cam display should switch to the rear camera view with parking assist lines.
- Adjust the rear camera's angle and position for optimal viewing. Some cameras allow image flipping/mirroring.
- Secure any loose cables with ties or tucks to prevent interference.
- The rear camera's red wire provides 12-volt power. It's not necessary to connect if parking assist is not used. For parking assist, connect the red wire to the reverse light power source to automatically display the rear camera view when in reverse.

To remove a memory card:
- Press the Video Capture button to stop recording.
- Press and hold the power button [?] to turn off the unit.

Parking Mode Details
To use the Parking Mode feature, you must also use the ACC Hardwire Kit. Please search for and purchase the "PRUVEEO ACC Hardwire Kit" on Amazon.com [?️].
ACC Hardwire Kit Wiring:
- Yellow wire - BAT (+)
- Black wire - GND (-)
- Red wire - ACC
Warm Tips: When installing the ACC hardwire kit, please refer to the actual product.
Automatic Parking Mode: The ACC (ignition-switched) detection feature allows the dash cam to switch to parking mode automatically when the vehicle's engine turns off and switch back to normal recording when the engine turns on.
For installation information regarding the ACC hardwire kit, search for "acc hardwire kit parking mode" on YouTube.com [▶️].
Note: If you have difficulties with HWK installation, you can contact PRUVEEO for assistance with Fuse Schematics.
There are 2 options under parking mode; Time Lapse is recommended.
- Time Lapse Recording: Records video at one frame per second to conserve memory and reduce review time.
- Gravity Sensing Record [⚖️]: Detects significant or sudden movement (like an impact or collision) and triggers event recording. Setting "Gravity Sensing" to High sensitivity is recommended for parking mode recording.
Important Note: If you do not use the parking mode function, please change "Gravity Sensing" to LOW sensitivity. Otherwise, the dash cam may lock videos, preventing deletion by the loop recording function, which can fill the memory card with locked videos and cause the recorder to fail.
Time-lapse Recording: This technique manipulates frame rate for creative filming and editing. Frame rate and playback speed are usually the same, but in time-lapse, the frame rate is stretched, making time appear to speed up during playback.
Record video at one frame per second to conserve memory and reduce review time. Time-lapse recordings are saved in the VIDEO folder and contain images but no sound.
⚠️ Caution: When NOT using the parking monitoring function, please turn it off. Otherwise, recorded video will be in fast-forward mode.
To turn off Parking Monitor:
- Press MENU [☰] twice to enter General Settings.
