Important Safety Guidelines
Read all instructions prior to installation and use.
General Safety Precautions
- Do not permit children to use the steam bath unless closely supervised.
- Wet surfaces in steam enclosures may be slippery; use caution when entering and exiting.
- The steam head is hot; avoid contact with the steam head and steam.
- Prolonged use can raise body temperature excessively, impairing the body's ability to regulate temperature (hyperthermia). Limit use to 10-15 minutes.
- Excessive temperatures may cause fetal damage during pregnancy. Pregnant women should consult a physician.
- Individuals with health conditions (obesity, heart disease, high/low blood pressure, circulatory problems, diabetes) should consult a physician before use.
- Individuals using medication should consult a physician, as some medications may cause drowsiness or affect heart rate/blood pressure.
- Understand the causes, symptoms, and effects of hyperthermia (dizziness, lethargy, drowsiness, fainting, inability to exit, unconsciousness).
- Alcohol, drugs, or medication can increase the risk of hyperthermia.
- Facility managers/owners are responsible for safe operation and must be knowledgeable of all safety concerns, codes, and regulations.
- Warning signs must be installed on the steam room door or adjacent wall.
Specific Warnings
- Overheating and Scalding: Exit immediately if uncomfortable, dizzy, or sleepy. Supervise children. Consult a doctor if pregnant, diabetic, or have health conditions. Breathing heated air with alcohol/drugs/medication can cause unconsciousness. Avoid contact with the steam head.
- Slip and Fall Injury: Use care when entering or exiting; floors may be slippery.
Installation Requirements
Pre-Installation
- All plumbing and electrical work must conform to local and national codes. Consultation with a professional plumber is recommended.
- Ensure all power to the steam generator is OFF before installation or servicing.
- Use only authorized components, accessories, or products.
- Ensure the steam generator model is sized appropriately for the steam room.
- Verify proper electrical supply (wire size, voltage, amperage, phase) based on the specification plate.
- Provide an inline fuse/circuit breaker as required.
- Do not install a GFI Ground Fault Interrupter.
- Select a location allowing sufficient access for service. Choose a clean, dry, indoor location protected from freezing.
- Do not store flammable or corrosive materials within 20 feet of the generator.
- Maintain an ambient temperature range of 40°F to 104°F (4.5°C to 40°C).
- Consider a blow-down tank if required for safe low-temperature draining.
- Locate the generator as close as possible to the steam room. Insulate steam pipes if longer than 10 feet.
- Ensure the serial number plate is visible after installation.
- The steam room must be completely sealed (floor, walls, ceiling) with waterproof material. Floor and bench materials must be slip-resistant.
- Provide a floor drain for condensate and cleaning.
- Use only watertight lighting fixtures approved for the application.
Plumbing Installation
- Water Supply: Rough-in a 1/2" NPT water line from a cold water supply. Provide a local shut-off valve.
- Steam Line: Use 3/4" copper tubing. Do NOT use iron or galvanized pipe. Insulate if longer than 10 feet. Locate the steam head approximately 18" above the floor, away from the bather. Do NOT install shut-off valves or create traps/valleys in this line.
- Drain Line: Rough-in a 1" drain line for manual or optional auto blow down. Connect to an indirect waste line according to local codes.
- Safety Relief Valve: Rough-in a 3/4" pipe routed to an indirect waste line. Ensure the discharge end is not restricted.
- Optional Auto Blow Down may require an ASME Blowdown Tank. Consult a contractor.
- Steam, safety, and drain pipes become hot during operation and should be insulated.
Electrical Installation
- WARNING: ALL POWER MUST BE TURNED OFF.
- Remove the top access cover.
- Locate knockout and mount a strain relief.
- Strip power cable insulation and insert wires into the box.
- Insert ground wire into grounding lug. Ensure it does not contact live connections.
- Connect power wires to the appropriate power lug terminals.
Aroma Pump Option
- Requires a separate 15 amp, 120-volt branch circuit.
- Connect power to the terminal block.
- The pump operates only when the room control is in MAX mode, ambient temperature is above IDLE, and the steam valve is open.
Digital Command Center (DCC) Installation
- WARNING: ALL POWER MUST BE TURNED OFF.
- The DCCP is factory wired for one or two steam rooms.
- User Bypass Control: Route wire from the selected area outside the steam room to the generator. Mounts to a 2-1/8" or 55 mm round hole.
- Room Temperature Sensor: Route wire from the selected location inside the steam room to the generator. Mounts to a 5/8" hole. Ensure proper placement (approx. 6 ft above floor, not near ceiling/corner).
- Digital Command Center (DCC): Route wire from the selected mounting location to the control board. Mounts to a 2-1/2"w x 7-7/8"h hole.
- Ensure DCC, User Bypass Control, and sensor cables are not confused.
Operation
Digital Commercial Control Package (DCCP) Operation
The control is designed for energy savings with MAX, IDLE, and OFF modes.
- User Bypass Control: Allows the bather to switch from IDLE to MAX mode by pressing the button. IDLE mode is indicated by one lit bar; MAX mode by all bars lit.
- Programming: The DCC has three sections: SET EVENT, SET VALUE, and SET CLOCK.
- SET CLOCK: For setting current time and day. Features a battery backup.
- SET VALUE: For programming MAX TEMP, MAX2 TEMP (for second room), IDLE TEMP, and MAX CYCLE TIMER (0-60 minutes).
- SET EVENT: For programming daily schedules (up to six events per day) for MAX, IDLE, or OFF modes.
- Manager Lock Function: Prevents unauthorized setting changes. Requires a password.
- Temporary Mode Setting: Allows temporary mode changes until the next programmed event.
- Auto-Blow Down: Activates in OFF mode. Generator runs for 5 minutes, then drains boiling water for 2 minutes, then refills. A 7-minute OFF mode program is recommended for 24-hour operation. Consult contractor regarding blow-down tanks.
- Steam Control: Steam valves are controlled by room temperature sensors and programmed mode.
- Aroma Control: Two aroma control relays (one per room) are available for aroma pumps. Relays are active only in MAX mode when the steam valve is open and room temperature is above IDLE.
- Fahrenheit/Celsius Selection: Changeable via a jumper (CN112) in the Command Module.
- Reset Feature: Press and hold PROG# and MIN buttons simultaneously for five seconds to reset all programs.

Wiring Diagram
Refer to Figure 9 for the wiring diagram, which illustrates connections for sensors, controls, power supply, and other components.
Steamhead Installation Instructions
The steam head is designed for 360° steam dispersion to improve circulation and minimize hotspots.
- Locate the steam head as far from the seating area as possible for maximum comfort.
- A deflector plate can be used to divert steam if needed.
- Ensure the 3/4" nipple protrudes 1/4" to 1/2" beyond the tile.
- Wrap nipple threads with pipe sealant tape.
- Hand-tighten the head onto the nipple. Avoid using a wrench, which can damage the unit.
- Repositioning the head may be necessary; follow instructions if needed.
- Apply silicone sealant around the pipe and the back plate for a watertight seal.
- The included silicone Cool Sense Cover should be placed over the steam head.
- CAUTION: The steam head operates at 212°F (100°C) and can cause burns. Ensure it is located in an area that avoids likely contact.
