Each earbud has a triple-microphone system for enhanced ambient noise suppression and echo cancellation. This includes a speaker & feedback microphone, a talk microphone (located at the bottom), and a feedforward microphone.
*Feedforward and feedback microphones are used for noise control modes. For more, see Set the noise control modes.
Note: Keep the mesh and outlets around the microphones clean and unobstructed for normal function. For more, see Clean the earbuds.

Note: Only the moto buds+ (XT2441-1) charging case supports wireless charging.
Pair and connect
Your wireless earbuds are compatible with a wide range of devices supporting Bluetooth and audio features, including smartphones, tablets, and laptops. They use Bluetooth technology for a seamless wireless audio experience.
Note: A flashing orange LED indicates low battery and that the earbuds are not ready to pair. Charge the case sufficiently.
Fast pairing
Quickly pair your earbuds with Motorola mobile devices running Android 12 or later, and other Android devices compatible with Google Fast Pair.
Tip: Consult your Android device manufacturer for Google Fast Pair information.
Note: Full Google Fast Pair access requires a device set up with a Google account.
- Turn on Bluetooth on the device you want to pair.
- With earbuds in the open case, they will enter Bluetooth pairing mode automatically when the LED indicator flashes blue. A pop-up window will appear.
- Tap Connect on the pop-up window and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the connection and download the Moto Buds app if needed.
Tip: To turn on Bluetooth on a Motorola phone, swipe up from the home screen and tap Settings > Connected devices > Pair new device. Alternatively, swipe the status bar down and tap Bluetooth.
Note: If the LED indicator does not flash blue, press and hold the function button for 2 seconds. If the pop-up window does not appear, refer to Manual pairing.
Manual pairing
Manually pair your earbuds with Bluetooth-compatible devices running Android, iOS, Windows, and more.
- Turn on Bluetooth on the device and open the list of available Bluetooth devices.
- With earbuds in the open case, press and hold the function button for 2 seconds until the LED indicator flashes blue.
- Select moto buds+ or moto buds in the device's Bluetooth settings.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the pairing.
Tip: If a pop-up window appears before pressing the function button, follow Fast pairing.
Dual connection
Your earbuds can connect to two devices simultaneously. Dual connection is off by default; enable it to avoid manual switching.
Note: At least one connected device must be running Android to enable dual connection.
- Install the Moto Buds app on your Android device.
- Ensure your earbuds are connected to your Android device (see Pair and connect).
- In the Moto Buds app, tap the switch next to Dual connection to turn it on.
- Follow the steps in Pair and connect to connect with a second device.
Tip: If you cannot establish a dual connection, try restarting your earbuds (see Unpair, restart, or reset your earbuds).
Notes:
- When paired with two devices, audio plays from only one device at a time. Incoming calls take precedence over media playback, and both take precedence over an idle device.
- When connected to two devices (A and B), if device A is playing media, you can play media on device B, but audio from B will be paused or muted until media on A is paused.
