Basic Connections
Use the switch on the back of the speaker to choose the output. The speakers can be used with either 8 Ohm or 100 Volt line systems.
Connection Examples
Standard 100V Line
Example: 4 x 20W load = 80W total load.
Diagram Description: An amplifier is connected to four speakers in series, each rated at 20W. The total load is 80W.
Multi-tap 100V Line
Example: 20W + 10W + 10W + 2W + 2W + 4W load = 48W total load.
Diagram Description: An amplifier is connected to multiple speakers with different wattage taps (20W, 10W, 10W, 2W, 2W, 4W) in series. The total load is 48W.
8 Ohm Examples
Standard 8 Ohm Loudspeaker Setup
Diagram Description: An amplifier is connected to two 8 Ohm speakers in parallel.
Parallel 4 Loudspeaker Setup
Diagram Description: An amplifier is connected to four 8 Ohm speakers in parallel.
Series Parallel 4 Loudspeaker Mono Setup
Diagram Description: An amplifier is connected to four 8 Ohm speakers arranged in a series-parallel configuration.
How to Connect Your Speakers
- Ensure the audio system is turned off before making any connections.
- Connect the speaker(s) to the amplifier output. Use the black wire for the negative pole and the red wire for the positive pole. (Refer to connection terminal 2 on the speaker diagram).
- Adjust the rotary switch (1) on the speaker to the desired 100 Volt or 8 Ohm position. The 8 Ohm position is for directly operating the speaker at a low-impedance amplifier output.
- When connecting multiple speakers, ensure all speakers have the same polarity and that the amplifier is not overloaded.
Speaker Diagram Description: The speaker features a front grille covering the woofer and tweeter. On the rear, there is a rotary switch (labeled 1) for selecting the impedance/voltage setting (e.g., OFF, 5W, 10W, 25W) and connection terminals (labeled 2) for positive and negative speaker wire connections.
