Introduction

Congratulations on your purchase of this Power Dynamics product. Please read this manual thoroughly prior to using the unit to benefit fully from all features.

Safety Precautions

General Safety:

• Read this manual thoroughly before using the unit.
• Follow all instructions to avoid invalidating the warranty.
• Take all precautions to avoid fire and/or electrical shock.
• Repairs must only be carried out by a qualified technician.
• Keep the manual for future reference.
• Do not open the housing as it contains voltage-carrying parts.
• Do not place metal objects or pour liquids into the unit; this may cause electrical shock and malfunction.
• Do not place the unit near heat sources (e.g., radiators) or on vibrating surfaces.
• Do not cover ventilation holes.
• The unit is not suitable for continuous use.
• Handle the mains lead carefully and do not damage it.
• When unplugging from a mains outlet, always pull the plug, never the lead.
• Do not plug or unplug the unit with wet hands.
• If the plug or mains lead is damaged, it must be replaced by a qualified technician.
• If the unit is damaged to the extent that internal parts are visible, do NOT plug it in or switch it on. Contact your dealer.
• To avoid fire and shock hazard, do not expose the unit to rain and moisture.
• All repairs should be carried out by a qualified technician only.
• Connect the unit to an earthed mains outlet (220-240Vac/50Hz) protected by a 10-16A fuse.
• Unplug the unit during thunderstorms or if it will not be used for a longer period.
• If the unit has not been used for a long time, condensation may occur. Let it reach room temperature before switching on.
• Never use the unit in humid rooms or outdoors.
• Keep the unit out of the reach of children. Do not leave the unit unattended.
• Do not repeatedly switch the unit on and off; this shortens its lifetime.
• Do not use cleaning sprays on switches; residues can cause deposits. Seek advice from a specialist for malfunctions.
• Do not force the controls.
• Keep the unit at least 60cm away from computers or TVs due to potential magnetic fields.
• If the product has a built-in lead-acid battery, recharge it every 3 months if not in use to prevent permanent damage.
• If the battery is damaged, replace it with the same specifications and dispose of it environmentally.
• If the unit has fallen, have it checked by a qualified technician before switching it on again.
• Do not use chemicals to clean the unit; use a dry cloth only.
• Keep away from electronic equipment that may cause interference.
• Only use original spares for repairs to avoid serious damage or dangerous radiation.
• Switch the unit off before unplugging it from mains or other equipment. Unplug all leads and cables before moving the unit.
• Ensure the mains lead cannot be damaged by people walking on it. Check the mains lead for damages and faults before every use.
• The mains voltage is 220-240Vac/50Hz. Check if your power outlet matches.
• Keep original packing material for safe transport.

Warning Symbols:

• ⚡ This mark indicates the presence of high voltages inside the housing that can cause a shock hazard.
• ⚠️ This mark indicates important instructions that the user should read and adhere to.

The unit has been certified CE. Modifications are prohibited and will invalidate the CE certificate and guarantee.

Operating Temperature: For normal operation, the unit must be used in rooms with a temperature between 5°C/41°F and 35°C/95°F.

Environmental Disposal: Electric products must not be disposed of with household waste. Please bring them to a recycling centre. Contact your local authorities or dealer for disposal procedures.

Do not attempt self-repair or modifications; this voids the warranty. Power Dynamics is not responsible for personal injuries or damages caused by improper use or failure to follow safety recommendations.

Unpacking Instructions

CAUTION! Carefully unpack the box upon receipt. Check contents for completeness and condition. Notify the shipper immediately of any shipping damage and retain packaging material. If the product must be returned, it must be in the original factory box and packaging.

If the device has been exposed to drastic temperature fluctuations (e.g., after transport), do not switch it on immediately. Condensation may damage the device. Leave it switched off until it reaches room temperature.

Power Supply

The label on the back/underside of the product indicates the required mains voltage. Check that your mains voltage corresponds. Connecting to other voltages may cause irreparable damage. The unit must be connected directly to the mains voltage; do not use a dimmer or adjustable power supply.

Always connect the device to a protected circuit (circuit breaker or fuse). Ensure the device has appropriate electrical grounding to avoid the risk of electrocution or fire.

Overview

The Powerline Installation Kit includes a main control unit and can be used with different speaker configurations.

Main Unit Features:

• 1. Music Playback: Play music from TF/SD Card or USB-flashdrive. Supports MP3, WAV, APE, and other audio formats.
• 2. BT Function: Supports pairing with mobile phones and other external BT devices for audio playback. Default password: 1234.
• 3. AUX Input: Press to activate the AUX input function.
• 4. Track/Volume Control: Short press for next song / Long press to increase volume.
• 5. Play/Pause: Controls playback.
• 6. Track/Volume Control: Short press for previous song / Short press to decrease volume.
• 7. Standby Button: Powers the unit on/off.
• 8. Power Connection: 100-240V AC input (phase, null).
• 9. Line Out: Connect to amplifier or active speakers (Signal Right, Ground, Left).
• 10. Aux Input: Connect external audio sources (Signal Right, Ground, Left).
• 11. Speaker Connection: Terminals for connecting passive speakers.
• 12. Power On/Off Switch: Main power switch.
• 13. USB-flashdrive Port: For USB storage devices, maximum support 32GB.
• 14. TF/SD Card Slot: For memory cards, maximum support 32GB.

Connection Diagrams:

The manual includes diagrams showing the rear panel connections for the Powerline A50 and Powerline A100 models, illustrating the numbered ports for power, line out, aux input, and speaker connections.

Dimensions

The product includes a ceiling speaker with the following dimensions:

• Speaker Diameter: 215mm
• Ceiling Cutout Diameter: 190mm
• Installation Depth: 90mm

Installation Instructions

The installation involves mounting a back box in the wall, securing a bracket, and then inserting the wall amplifier unit.

1. Mount the supplied back box in the wall.
2. Tighten the bracket with the bracket screw onto the back box.
3. Place the wall amplifier into the back box, holding it approximately 10mm in front of the box and as high as possible. Press the amplifier against the back box and slide it downwards to secure it.

A wiring diagram is provided showing the connection of the main unit to power and speakers, as well as the connection of left and right speakers to the unit.
