Product Description

The standard roof vent outlet (STS) is designed for mechanical ventilation (VMC) and air treatment in collective housing and tertiary buildings. It can be used for air intake, air exhaust, and kitchen hood extraction. Made of galvanized steel, it is available in 9 sizes ranging from 160 mm to 630 mm in diameter and in two finishes: slate or tile. The standard roof vent outlet can be used on all types of roofing, with waterproofing achieved using a lead kit.

Installation

The metallic duct for connection to the ventilation duct is integrated with the sheet metal support, which is fixed to the framework, and the pliable lead sheet for waterproofing (Ø 160: metallic duct integrated with the lead sheet only).

Ø 160: remove the rain cap held by 2 or 4 screws.
Ø 160: remove the rain cap clipped onto the collar.
Ø 160: fix the support sheet to the framework using the maximum number of provided holes.
Shape the lead sheet to fit the contours, avoiding crimping.
Ø 160: for tile roofing, it is advisable to create a shim along the battens to support the lead sheet.
Install the rain cap with the airflow perpendicular to the roof slope.
Ø 160: re-install and securely fasten the 2 or 4 fixing screws and connect the metallic duct to the ventilation duct.
