MOES Zigbee Door/Window Magnetic Sensor

Product Overview

The MOES Door/Window Magnetic Sensor is a smart device designed to detect the opening or closing of doors and windows. It enables intelligent application scenarios when combined with other smart home devices. This sensor operates on the Zigbee wireless protocol and is compatible with popular smart home platforms like Alexa and Google Assistant, powered by Tuya technology.

Device Reset

To reset the device, use the provided reset pin to insert into the reset hole for more than 5 seconds until the indicator flashes. After the indicator flashes, you can proceed to add the device according to the App instructions.

Product Information

The door and window magnetic sensor detects the opening or closing of doors and windows, enabling intelligent application scenarios when combined with other devices.

Ensure that the small magnet part of the door sensor is placed on the side of the main sensor part that has the alignment mark. This ensures proper detection.

Preparation for Use

  1. Download MOES App

    Download the MOES App from the App Store or Google Play. While Tuya Smart / Smart Life apps are still functional, the MOES application is highly recommended for its enhanced compatibility and customized services, including Siri control, widgets, and scene recommendations.

  2. Registration or Log In

    • Download the “MOES” Application.
    • Enter the Register/Login interface. Tap “Register” to create an account by entering your phone number to receive a verification code and then setting a password.
    • If you already have a MOES account, choose “Log in”.

Steps for Connecting the App to the Device

Ensure the product is within effective coverage of your smart host (Zigbee Gateway) to ensure it connects effectively to the Zigbee network.

Method One: Scan QR Code

Scan the QR code provided in the app to configure the network guide.

  1. Make sure your Smart Life/Tuya Smart APP has successfully connected to a Zigbee gateway.
  2. In the app, navigate to the device list. Tap the '+' icon in the top right corner to add a device.
  3. Select "Add Device" and choose "Zigbee Door/Window Magnetic Sensor" from the list.

Method Two: Manual Addition

  1. Make sure your Smart Life/Tuya Smart APP has successfully connected to a Zigbee gateway.
  2. Use the reset pin to insert into the reset hole for more than 5 seconds until the indicator flashes. Then, add the device according to the App instructions.
  3. Enter the gateway interface in the app. Follow the on-screen instructions, typically by tapping "Add subdevice" and confirming that the LED is blinking. The connection process may take 10-120 seconds depending on your network conditions.
  4. Once the device is successfully added, you can edit its name by clicking “Done” to enter the device page.
  5. Click "Done" to enter the device page and begin enjoying your smart life with home automation. The device page will show the current status (e.g., "Opened" if the sensor is triggered).

Recycling Information

  1. Storage

    Products should be stored in a warehouse with a temperature range of -10℃ to +50℃ and relative humidity ≤90%RH. The indoor environment should be free of acid, alkali, salt, corrosive substances, explosive gases, flammable matter, dust, rain, and snow.

  2. Security Information

    1. Do not disassemble, reassemble, modify, or attempt to repair the product yourself. Such actions may cause electric shock, serious injury, or death.
    2. The product's battery should be recycled separately from household waste. Dispose of batteries in accordance with local environmental regulations.
  3. Troubleshooting Measures

    1. Why does the device fail to link to the APP?

      1. Zigbee products require a MOES/TUYA Zigbee gateway to function.
      2. Check if the router connected to the gateway is connected to the external network. Ensure the Wi-Fi signal of the gateway is good and try to reconnect the gateway.
      3. Check if the device is too far from your gateway or other Zigbee devices that form a mesh network. Keep the Zigbee gateway and the Zigbee device close as recommended (distance should be moderate, less than 5 meters).
      4. Check if the device has entered network distribution mode.
    2. Why doesn't the indicator flash after the device is powered on?

      1. The indicator should flash after the product is powered on. If not, check if the battery power is sufficient.
      2. Check if the device is in good contact and in normal APP configuration state before checking its indicator status. If the indicator does not blink, contact after-sales service.
    3. What to do if smart linkage does not work between devices?

      1. Confirm the device is connected to the network and is in a normal connection state.
      2. Confirm that your APP is updated to the newest version.
      3. Confirm that the smart scene set in the APP works with no conflict to other scenes.
    4. What if my device breaks down and doesn't respond for a long time?

      1. Try to reset the device by removing it from the APP for new APP configuration.

Service

MOES provides a two-year worry-free after-sales service (freight not included). Do not alter the warranty service card to safeguard your legitimate rights and interests. For service or questions, consult the distributor or contact MOES.

Product quality problems occurring within 24 months from the date of receipt require preparing the product and packaging for after-sales maintenance at the purchase site or store. If the product is damaged due to personal reasons, a maintenance fee will be charged for repair.

MOES reserves the right to refuse warranty service if:

  1. Products have damaged appearance, missing LOGO, or are beyond the service term.
  2. Products are disassembled, injured, privately repaired, modified, or have missing parts.
  3. The circuit is burned or the data cable or power interface is damaged.
  4. Products are damaged by foreign matter intrusion (including but not limited to fluids, sand, dust, soot, etc.).

WEEE Recycling Information

All products marked with the crossed-out wheeled bin symbol (WEEE Directive 2012/19/EU) must be disposed of separately from unsorted municipal waste. To protect health and the environment, this equipment must be disposed of at designated collection points for electrical and electronic equipment designated by the government or local authorities. Correct disposal and recycling help prevent potential negative consequences for the environment and human health. To find out where these collection points are and how they work, contact the installer or your local authority.
