Timekettle WT2 Edge Operating Manual

First Time Usage Guide

Step 01

1. Access the mobile app store to download and install the Timekettle app. Ensure your phone is running Android 7 and above, or iOS 12 and above.

The app allows for translation products and natural communication.

Remarks:

• Please do not connect the earbuds via the phone's Bluetooth settings; connect directly through the app.
• WT2 Edge is for translation purposes only, not for phone calls or music.
• Speak clearly and loudly for accurate translation. Avoid slang and infrequent words.
• Rephrase your sentences if the translation is inaccurate.

Step 02: Bluetooth Connection

1. Open the Timekettle app, select WT2 Edge, and turn on Bluetooth. Grant necessary permissions (audio recording, device location, etc.).

2. Take out both earbuds. If the lights flash green, click the connect buttons for 'L' and 'R'. Solid green lights indicate a successful connection.

3. Confirm the connection.

Simul Mode

1. From the main menu, select 'Simul Mode'.

2. In the upper right corner, select the translation languages for the Left and Right earbuds.

3. Click "Confirm".

How to Use Simul Mode:

In Simul mode, no touch interaction with the earbuds or phone is needed. Spoken sentences are automatically recognized and translated to the language of the other user. You can speak continuously, and the translation will be played in the other person's ear.

Remarks:

• Speak loud and clear for best translation accuracy. Avoid slang and infrequent words.
• Rephrase your sentences if the translation is inaccurate.

Touch Mode

1. From the main menu, select 'Touch Mode'.

2. In the upper right corner, select the translation languages for the Left and Right earbuds.

3. Click "Confirm".

How to Use Touch Mode:

WT2 Edge translator earbuds are activated by touching the sensor area with your finger. Touch once to start speaking, and touch again after you finish. Translation will be provided within 1-3 seconds.

Remarks:

• Speak loud and clear for best translation accuracy. Avoid slang and infrequent words.
• Rephrase your sentences if the translation is inaccurate.

The touch area is located on the earbuds.

Speaker Mode

1. From the main menu, select 'Speaker Mode'.

2. In the upper right corner, select one language for the person wearing the L or R earbud, and the other language for the person speaking into the phone's speaker.

3. Click "Confirm".

How to Use Speaker Mode:

When speaking, wear a translator earphone and tap it. The translation results will play through your phone's speaker. If the other person wishes to speak, they can talk to the phone's speaker.

Remarks:

• In Speaker mode, only one earbud needs to be connected. The other earbud can remain in the charging case.
• Speak loud and clear for best translation accuracy. Avoid slang and infrequent words.
• Rephrase your sentences if the translation is inaccurate.

Group Chat

The Group Chat function supports up to 40 people speaking 40 different languages remotely within the same chat group. Add people to the chat group, and WT2 Edge will provide voice-to-text translation for each participant.

1. From the main menu, select 'Group Chat'.

2. Click [Create Group], [Copy] Group Code, and [Enter Room] to set your desired languages.

3. Copy the Group Code and enter the room.

4. Set the languages you need.

How to Use Group Chat:

If wearing an earbud: Touch the earbud once to start speaking, and again after finishing. Your spoken words will appear on your phone screen. Click the sound icon next to your partner's words to hear the translation.

If not wearing an earbud: Tap the screen to start speaking, and tap again after finishing. The app will provide translated text without voice translation.

You can also click the keyboard at the bottom of the app to enter words, regardless of whether you are wearing an earbud.
