Introduction
This guide provides instructions for the initial setup and configuration of the Zyxel NWA90AX Wireless Access Point. The NWA90AX is a WiFi 6 access point designed for high-performance wireless networking.

Hardware Overview
The NWA90AX features the following ports and indicators:
- Power Port: Connect the power adapter here.
- Ethernet Port (PoE/WAN): Connect to your network switch or router. Supports Power over Ethernet (PoE).
- Reset Button: Press and hold for 10 seconds to restore factory default settings.
- LED Indicators: Indicate power, system status, and WiFi activity.
Hardware Setup
- Connect Power: Connect the power adapter to the NWA90AX and plug it into a power outlet. Alternatively, if using PoE, connect the Ethernet cable to a PoE-enabled switch.
- Connect to Network: Connect the Ethernet port of the NWA90AX to your router or network switch using the provided Ethernet cable.

Initial Configuration
You can configure the NWA90AX using the Zyxel Nebula cloud management platform or as a standalone device.
Option 1: Nebula Cloud Management
- Register Device: Go to the Zyxel Nebula portal (https://nebula.zyxel.com/) and register your NWA90AX using its serial number and MAC address.
- Create Site: Create a new site or select an existing one within your Nebula organization.
- Add Device: Add the NWA90AX to your site. The device will automatically download its configuration from the Nebula cloud.
Option 2: Standalone Mode
- Connect to Management PC: Connect your computer to the NWA90AX via the Ethernet port. Ensure your computer is on the same subnet as the NWA90AX's default IP address (usually 192.168.1.2).
- Access Web Interface: Open a web browser and enter the default IP address of the NWA90AX.
- Login: Use the default username and password (refer to the device label or separate documentation for defaults).
- Configuration Wizard: Follow the on-screen wizard to set up your WiFi network name (SSID), password, and other basic settings.
LED Indicators
Understanding the LED indicators:
- Power LED: Solid green indicates power is on.
- System LED: Blinking green indicates normal operation. Solid or blinking amber may indicate an issue.
- WiFi LED: Solid green indicates WiFi is active. Blinking green indicates WiFi traffic.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues:
- Ensure all cables are securely connected.
- Verify the power supply.
- If using PoE, check the switch's PoE capabilities.
- If unable to access the web interface, try resetting the device to factory defaults using the reset button.
