ZYXEL NWA90AX

802.11ax (WiFi 6) Dual-Radio Access Point

Overview

The NWA90AX is a 2.4GHz and 5GHz dual-band concurrent dual-radio access point providing gigabit speeds. It features 2x2 MU-MIMO and OFDMA technology to minimize latency by delivering data simultaneously to multiple users. This makes it suitable for small to medium offices, franchise stores, retail shops, study cafes, and smart home or hotel environments with numerous smart devices, ensuring efficient operation.

802.11ax Wi-Fi 6 Support

The NWA90AX incorporates 802.11ax standard technology, supporting up to 1,200 Mbps on the 5GHz band and up to 575 Mbps on the 2.4GHz band, achieving a combined data processing speed of up to 1,775 Mbps.

Key Features

Hybrid Mode (Standalone / Cloud-managed with Nebula)

The NWA90AX offers a hybrid service, supporting both local standalone management and remote cloud-managed service, allowing users to flexibly build wireless networks according to their environment. The cloud-managed service, in particular, saves initial network setup costs by providing roaming services even without a physical AP controller.

An arrow indicates the 'Hybrid mode' connecting these concepts.]

2.4GHz & 5GHz Concurrent Dual Band Support

The NWA90AX utilizes MU-MIMO (Multiple Input, Multiple Output) technology on both 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands to provide enhanced speed and wider coverage. Instead of selecting one band, it uses both simultaneously, minimizing channel interference in congested environments and ensuring optimal wireless internet quality.

Optimizing Wireless Network Environment

The NWA90AX provides Dynamic Channel Selection (DCS) and Band Steering features to offer an optimal wireless network environment. DCS automatically selects less congested channels in environments with high radio interference, reducing signal interference caused by channel overlap. Band Steering guides users' devices to the optimal frequency band upon connection to the AP, ensuring stable wireless internet quality.

Captive Portal

The NWA90AX, managed via the cloud-managed platform, offers a web authentication feature called Captive Portal. This feature directs users to a specified web page upon attempting to access the wireless network. Users can customize the welcome web page with their logo and messages, making it suitable for wireless network deployment in public spaces like franchise stores and cafes.

ZyXEL Ally Cloud Management Service

The NWA90AX provides a cloud-managed platform for health checks of wireless APs within a site and enables remote monitoring of users anytime, anywhere. With plug-and-play support, devices automatically connect to the cloud server upon connection, facilitating easy setup. The unlimited AP management capacity of the cloud platform allows for significant cost savings when expanding services or franchises.

ZyXEL One Network - Integrated Network Management Solution

The ZyXEL One Network (ZON) solution offers a GUI environment accessible via web browser, allowing even non-experts to easily configure and manage switches. ZON Utility and other integrated network management solutions like ZyXEL Smart Connect and ZyXEL iStacking enable efficient management of Zyxel switches, APs, and other network devices, reducing initial investment costs and minimizing repetitive, inefficient tasks during network setup.

The ZyXEL One Network (ZON) Utility is a Windows-based software providing a user-friendly interface for non-experts. It supports basic IP configuration, device reboot, firmware upgrades, password resets, and integration with ZyXEL AP Configurator, allowing discovery and configuration of up to 250 Zyxel switches, APs, and UTM devices within the same domain.

From the server, connections are made via switches (e.g., XGS4600-32F, GS1920-8HP, GS1920-24, GS2220-50HP) to various ZYXEL devices like WAX610D, WAC6103D-I, and WAC500 access points, demonstrating a managed network infrastructure.]
