Installation Steps

The UniFi Flex 2.5G 8 PoE Switch can be mounted in various configurations. Below are the general steps:

Step 1: Prepare Mounting Location

Choose a suitable location for the switch. Ensure there is adequate ventilation and access to power if needed (though the device is PoE powered).

Step 2: Mount the Bracket

Using the provided mounting screws (e), attach the mounting bracket (b) or the screw mount plate (c) to the desired surface (e.g., wall, ceiling, pole). The diagram shows two mounting options:

• Mounting the switch directly to a surface using the screw mount plate (c) and screws (d).
• Mounting the switch using the mounting bracket (b) and associated screws (e).

Step 3: Attach the Switch

Align the UniFi Flex 2.5G 8 PoE Switch (a) with the mounted bracket or plate and secure it. The switch is designed to clip or slide into place.

Step 4: Connect Network Cables

Connect your network devices to the PoE-enabled ports on the switch using Ethernet cables. The switch itself will receive power via PoE from a compatible injector or switch.

Step 5: Configuration

After physical installation, the switch needs to be adopted and configured using the UniFi Network Controller software. Refer to the UniFi Network Controller documentation for detailed configuration steps.
