- Remove the side cover by turning the knob counter-clockwise.
- Insert the saw chain into the groove of the guide bar, ensuring the chain is oriented correctly (refer to rotation direction).
- Mount the chain and guide bar onto the chainsaw. You may need to pre-tension the chain using the chain tension adjustment knob.
- Pull the chain around the guide bar with a gloved hand to ensure smooth movement.
- Reinstall the side cover, ensuring the chain and guide bar do not slip out.
- Lightly tighten the side cover knob.
- Adjust the chain tension using the adjustment knob until the chain sags approximately 2-3 mm from the guide bar.
- Fully tighten the side cover knob.
- Install the Battery Pack: Insert the battery pack into the mounting port until it clicks into place.
Operation
Starting the Chainsaw:
- Ensure the chain brake is in the engaged position.
- Press the safety switch, then press the trigger switch to start the chainsaw.
- Release the safety switch once the chainsaw is running.
Stopping the Chainsaw: Release the trigger switch.
Chain Brake Check: Periodically check that the chain brake functions correctly. If the chain does not stop immediately when the brake is engaged, do not use the chainsaw and seek professional service.
Chain Tension: Check and adjust chain tension before each use. A properly tensioned chain should sag about 3 mm from the guide bar.
Chain Lubrication: Ensure the chain oil reservoir is filled. The automatic lubrication system will supply oil to the bar and chain during operation. Check oil levels regularly.
Maintenance
- Always remove the battery pack and allow the chainsaw to cool down before performing any maintenance or cleaning.
- Clean sawdust and debris from the chainsaw, especially around the battery port and motor vents.
- Clean the chain and guide bar after each use.
- Do not use harsh chemicals or solvents for cleaning.
- Sharpen the chain regularly for optimal performance. If you are not experienced, seek professional sharpening services.
Troubleshooting
- Chainsaw not starting: Check battery charge, ensure the battery is properly inserted, and verify the chain brake is disengaged.
- Chain not cutting effectively: Check chain tension, ensure the chain is sharp, and verify the chain is properly lubricated.
- Chain falling off: Check chain tension and ensure the guide bar and chain are correctly installed.
- Overheating: If the chainsaw overheats, it will automatically shut off. Allow it to cool down before restarting.
Safety Warnings
- Kickback: Be aware of kickback, which can occur when the guide bar tip contacts an object or the wood binds the chain. Maintain a firm grip and proper body positioning to counteract kickback.
- Cutting Techniques: Avoid cutting with the tip of the guide bar. When cutting branches, support the wood to prevent pinching.
- Environmental Conditions: Use the chainsaw in dry conditions. Avoid operating in wet environments.
- Battery Safety: Use only the specified SENIX battery and charger. Do not expose batteries to extreme temperatures, fire, or water. Do not attempt to open or modify batteries.
- Electromagnetic Field: This tool generates an electromagnetic field. Individuals with medical implants should consult their doctor and the implant manufacturer before use.
