Lutron Caséta Wireless INSTALLATION GUIDE
Pre-requisites for Installations
- Lutron Caséta app
- Caséta Smart Bridge Pro
- Alarm.com account
Configure Caséta Smart Bridge Pro using Lutron Caséta Wireless app
- Download the Caséta app
- Select "Set Up My System"
- Use the customer's primary email and a dummy password to sign up a new account.
- Ensure your phone is on the same network as the Smart Bridge.
- Follow instructions to set up the Smart Bridge and associate devices to it.
Register account with Alarm.com
- Include Lutron Integration add-on
Alarm.com Integration Process
Step 1: Add Caséta Smart Bridge Pro to Alarm.com Account
Use the created Caséta customer login to add a Caséta Smart Bridge Pro to the Alarm.com account. Navigate to Equipment > emPower Devices > Lutron.
The Alarm.com interface displays sections for Overview, Sensors, Image Sensors, and emPower. It allows selection of device types like Z-Wave, Lutron, or LiftMaster. The screen includes options to 'Refresh Page' and manage 'Lutron Devices', with buttons for 'Add-Repeater' and 'Add Caseta Smart Bridge', and an 'Update Status' button.
Configuration options include an 'emPower Energy Package' (Lights + Thermostats) and 'LiftMaster Garage Door Control', which are checked. Additional add-ons are listed, such as 'Voice Notifications for Alarms', 'Voice Notifications for Non-Alarms', 'Arming Schedules', and 'Lutron Integration'. Users can also add 'Additional Sensors with Sensor Activity Monitoring', a 'Securus Panic Pendant', and enable 'Identity Theft Protection'.
Step 2: Follow Instructions and Click Log In
The Lutron Caseta Integration setup involves downloading the Lutron Caseta App, clicking "Set Up My System", creating a new account with the customer's primary email address and a temporary password, and following instructions to complete device setup. Users then log in using these credentials.
After logging into the Lutron app, users should click "Sign In". At the bottom of the page, click "Forgot your password". This action allows customers to reset their Caséta password via email.
Step 3: Log in using the created Caséta credentials
The Alarm.com login screen features fields for 'Email' and 'Password', a 'Sign in' button, and a 'Forgot your password?' link.
Upon successful signup, a 'Welcome' screen appears, asking for authorization for 'ADC PROD' to use the account, with 'Authorize' and 'Deny' buttons.
Step 4: Test and Finalize
Go to the customer site and test that lights are working correctly.
Open the Lutron Caséta app, log out, and click "Sign In". At the bottom of the page, click "Forgot your password". This will allow customers to reset the password for their account.
