The main power sources for the DAB+/FM radio are dry batteries, the built-in rechargeable battery, and DC input via USB cable.
Power Sources:
- Dry Batteries: To use dry batteries, open the battery compartment (20) and set the switch to "BATT". Ensure correct polarity when installing batteries.
- Lithium Rechargeable Battery: Set the switch to "LI BATT". The radio must be charged before use.
Charging Modes:
The primary charging mode is via USB cable. Solar panel and crank handle are auxiliary charging functions.
- Lithium Rechargeable Battery Charging: Connect the radio to a charging device (e.g., powerbank) using the USB cable. A red indicator shows charging; it turns green when fully charged. The radio can be used while charging. Use a micro USB cable charger with specifications of at least 5V 1A. Charging is safe even with dry batteries installed.
- Solar Panel: The solar panel charges the lithium battery automatically when exposed to sunlight.
- Dynamo Loading: Rotate the crank handle (⚙️) to charge the battery. The charging indicator turns green upon full charge. CAUTION: Do not rotate the handle faster than 120 times per minute to avoid damage. Maintain a steady speed and direction.
