IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
⚠️ WARNING: POTENTIAL ELECTRICAL HAZARD IF NOT ADHERED TO. When using electrical appliances, basic precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, and injury to persons, including the following:
- This heater must be plugged into a dedicated 120 V, 15 amp (or more) circuit. Do not plug anything else into the same circuit. Consult a certified electrician if unsure. Failure to adhere may result in fire, overheating, malfunction, property damage, injury, or death.
- Connect only to a properly grounded, 3-prong outlet. Do not use extension cords, surge protectors, timers, direct breakers, or outlets with other appliances. Failure to adhere may result in fire, overheating, malfunction, property damage, injury, or death.
- This heater is hot when in use. To avoid burns, do not let bare skin touch hot surfaces. Use handles or wheels to move the heater.
- Keep combustible materials (furniture, pillows, bedding, papers, clothes, curtains) at least 3 ft. (0.9 m) from the front, sides, and rear of the heater.
- Use extreme caution when the heater is used by or near children, invalids, pets, or when left unattended.
- Always unplug the heater when not in use.
- Do not operate a heater with a damaged cord or plug, or if it malfunctions, has been dropped, or damaged. Contact the manufacturer for resolution.
- Do not use outdoors. Exposure to elements can create a safety hazard.
- This heater is not intended for use in bathrooms, laundry areas, or locations with GFCI outlets.
- Never place the heater where it may fall into a bathtub or other water receptacles.
- Do not run the cord under carpet or cover it with rugs, runners, or similar coverings. Arrange the cord away from traffic areas and tripping hazards.
- The heater must be plugged into a wall outlet on a dedicated circuit with a minimum 15 amp rating.
- To disconnect, turn the power button to OFF and then remove the plug from the wall outlet.
- Do not allow foreign objects to enter or block ventilation/exhaust openings, as this may cause electric shock, fire, or damage.
- Allow at least 3 ft. of unobstructed space to the front and rear for maximum heat, air, and ventilation flow.
- The heater contains hot and arcing/sparking parts. Do not use in areas where gasoline, paint, or flammable liquids are used or stored. Do not use flammable solvents to clean the heater. Keep the heater dry.
- Use this heater only as described in this manual. Other uses may cause fire, electric shock, or injury.
- Do not use abrasive solvents for cleaning, as they may damage the finish or casing.
- To prevent fire, do not block air intakes or exhaust. Do not use on soft surfaces (like a bed) where openings may become blocked.
- Always plug heaters directly into a wall outlet/receptacle. Never use with an extension cord or power strip.

Tip-Over Safety Feature
The heater is equipped with a tip-over safety feature. If tipped, an internal switch automatically shuts the heater off. Once upright, the heater resets. To continue operation, turn it on again.
Overheat Safety Feature
The heater has an overheat safety feature. If internal components reach a temperature causing overheating or fire, the heater automatically shuts off. If overheated, unplug the unit and plug it back in to use again.
Grounding Information
⚠️ WARNING: This heater operates on 120 volts and has a three-blade, grounding-type plug. An adapter is available for connecting to two-slot receptacles. The grounding lug from the adapter must be connected to a permanent ground (e.g., a grounded outlet box). Do not use the adapter if a three-slot grounded receptacle is available. DO NOT DEFEAT THE SAFETY PURPOSE OF THE GROUNDED PLUG.
[Diagram illustrating proper grounding with a 3-prong plug and outlet, and the use of an adapter with a grounding lug connected to an outlet box.]
⚠️ WARNING: The power cord may feel warm to the touch. If the plug fit is loose and causes overheating of the plug, try a different outlet. Contact a qualified electrician to inspect the original outlet.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
- Q: My heater emits a strange odor when I first open the box and when I turn the heater on for the first time. Why is this happening?
- A: This is normal. The heater is treated with a special heat-resistant coating. This odor may be present when the box is opened and during the first few hours of operation as the coating is exposed to heat. It will dissipate after the break-in period. If sensitive to odors, pre-burn the unit in a well-ventilated area.
- Q: If my heater runs on its max wattage setting, how many BTUs is that?
- A: This heater is intended for supplemental heat. The chart below shows BTU translations for different wattages:
- Q: Can the heating elements be replaced?
- A: Replacement heating elements can be obtained from the manufacturer. Contact Customer Support if elements appear faulty out of the box.
- Q: Once I plug the unit in and turn it on, how long will it take to heat my room?
- A: Heating begins immediately. The time to notice a change varies based on room size, insulation, doors/windows, and room layout. Smaller rooms heat faster. Larger rooms or those with high ceilings may take up to 24 hours.
- Q: I do not have a grounded outlet. Can I use adapters, a 2-prong power strip, or remove the ground prong from the cord?
- A: NO! If you do not have a grounded outlet, contact a certified electrician. Altering the heater's design or cord will void the warranty and may lead to hazardous results.
- Q: My Heater has an ECO setting? How does this setting work?
- A: The ECO mode aims to maintain a consistent temperature around 68°F (20°C). It increases wattage if the temperature drops below 64.4°F (18°C), gradually reduces wattage as it approaches 66.2°F (19°C), and stops heating at 68°F (20°C). This is an economical function, as the heater rarely runs at maximum wattage.
- Q: The temperature on my heater does not match the temperature display on my wall, or external thermostat. Why?
- A: This is normal. The heater's sensor reads the temperature directly around it. Readings may differ from wall-mounted or external thermostats due to heat rising from the floor. For best operation, set the unit to High and dial to a comfortable temperature, then leave it. The heater will cycle off when the set temperature is met.
- Q: Can I use more than one heater at a time? Can I use the heater and another appliance at the same time?
- A: Yes, but ensure they are not plugged into the same circuit. Each heater requires its own minimum 15-amp circuit. Verify circuit requirements with a certified electrician. ⚠️ WARNING: Failure to meet requirements may result in fire, property damage, or injury.
- Q: Why does my heater's fan continue to run after the set temperature is reached or the power is turned off?
- A: This is normal. The fan continues to run to dispense residual heat from the heat chamber and filter air. It will shut off on its own once the unit cools down. Allow a few minutes after heat cycles off (with power on) for the fan to stop. The fan stops faster when the power is turned off.
- Q: My heater's display shows my ambient temperature to be in the 20s when I know it is warmer than that. Why?
- A: The heater's display may be set to Celsius. If the heater is heating but shows a low temperature, check if the setting is Celsius instead of Fahrenheit.
- Q: My heater's power cord gets warm. My cord is showing signs of heat or melting at the outlet. Is this normal?
- A: A warm power cord is normal (rated safe up to 105°C/221°F). If you detect heat, smoke, or melting at the outlet contact point, it may be due to loose or worn wall contacts. Stop using the heater immediately, contact warranty support for a replacement cord, and have a qualified electrician inspect/replace the outlet.

Preparation
Place the heater on a firm, level surface. Plug into a grounded 120 V, 60 Hz power outlet and turn on the power switch on the rear of the unit. Operate only in an upright position.
Insert two AAA batteries into the remote control before use (batteries not included). Note: Not all products include a remote control.
Infrared heaters heat objects, not air, and are intended to supplement an already heated, insulated room. They do not heat through walls or floors and are not a primary heat source. Infrared heat may take up to 24 hours to warm a room but is efficient for maintaining temperature. They are not effective in uninsulated or unheated spaces.
Troubleshooting
