Installation Guide
Follow these steps to install or upgrade components in your GEEKOM Mini PC.
Step 1: Opening the Mini PC Case
To access the internal components, the top cover of the Mini PC needs to be removed. This typically involves loosening screws or releasing clips, indicated by a circular arrow [A] for unscrewing or releasing. Then, lift the top cover upwards [B] to detach it from the main chassis.
Step 2: Installing M.2 SSD
This section details the installation of an 80mm M.2 Solid State Drive (SSD). The process involves inserting the SSD into the M.2 slot at an angle, then securing it with a screw, possibly with a small stand-off or bracket, indicated by a circular arrow [A] for fastening.
Step 3: Installing 1.1V DDR4 Memory
This step describes the installation of DDR4 RAM modules. The diagram shows two RAM modules being inserted into their respective slots. The clips on the sides of the RAM slots need to be opened, the RAM module inserted at an angle, and then pushed down until the clips secure it, indicated by arrows showing insertion and downward pressure.
Step 4: Closing the Mini PC Case
After installing components, reattach the top cover. Ensure it aligns correctly with the chassis and secure it by reversing the opening procedure (e.g., screwing it back in).
Step 5: VESA Mounting (Optional)
The Mini PC can be mounted to the back of a monitor using a VESA mount. The diagram shows a bracket being attached to the monitor's VESA mounting points, and then the Mini PC being attached to this bracket. This typically involves aligning screw holes and securing the unit, indicated by a circular arrow [A] for fastening.
Step 6: Connecting Power
Connect the provided AC power adapter to the power inlet port on the Mini PC and plug the adapter into a grounded electrical outlet.
