Paradox K32LCD+ Keypad Quick Start

This guide provides a quick start for the Paradox K32LCD+ keypad.

Keypad Overview

The K32LCD+ keypad features an LCD screen displaying system status and messages. Navigation is done using arrow keys. The keypad also has backlight adjustment and chime programming functions.

LCD Screen: Displays system status and messages.

Arrow Keys: Used to navigate menu options.

Backlight Adjustment: Press and hold to adjust backlight.

Chime Programming: Press and hold to program the chime.

CA Light: Indicates AC power status (On = AC power present; Off = No AC power).

StayD Light: Indicates StayD status (On = StayD activated; Off = StayD deactivated).

Quick Programming Menu: Press once + [MASTER CODE].

Arming the System

Arming to Leave (Normal Arming)

To arm the system when leaving:

  1. Ensure all zones in the desired partition are closed.
  2. Press [ARM] and enter the [ACCESS CODE].

Arming to Stay (Stay Arm / Night Arm)

To arm the system and stay:

  1. Press [STAY] to arm in Stay mode or [SLEEP] to arm in Night mode, then enter the [ACCESS CODE].
  2. Select the desired partition (1 or 2). To select both, press one, wait for the tone, then press the other.

Disarming the System

To disarm the system upon entry:

  1. Press [OFF] and enter an [ACCESS CODE].
  2. Select the desired partition (1 or 2). To select both, press one, wait for the tone, then press the other.

Panic Buttons

To send a silent or audible alarm to the monitoring station, press and hold one of the following button combinations for 2 seconds:

Alarm Memory

To view alarms that occurred during the last arming period:

  1. Disarm the system.
  2. Press [MEM]. The numbers of all zones where an alarm occurred during the last arming period will light up. Use the arrow keys to view zones.
  3. Press [ENTER] to save and exit.

Troubleshooting Faults

The LCD screen displays all faults when they occur. To view and clear faults:

  1. Press [TBL].
  2. Scroll through the fault list using the arrow keys. Consult the MGSP user manual for fault descriptions and instructions.
  3. Follow the correction instructions to repair the fault. If no instructions are available, contact your security company.
  4. Press [CLEAR] to exit.

Bypassing Zones

Bypassed zones remain disarmed when the corresponding area is armed. To bypass zones:

  1. Press [BYP].
  2. Enter an [ACCESS CODE].
  3. Select the zone to bypass by entering the zone number (e.g., zone 3 = 03).
  4. Press [ENTER].
