First Time Use: Salt, Rinse Aid and Detergent
Advice Regarding First Time Use
After installation, remove the stoppers from the racks and the retaining elastic elements from the upper rack.
Filling the Salt Reservoir
The use of salt prevents the formation of limescale on dishes and machine components. Dishwasher regenerating salt is required. Do not use table salt. Ensure the salt reservoir is never empty and set the water hardness. The salt reservoir is in the lower part of the dishwasher. Fill when the SALT REFILL indicator light (5) is lit.
- Remove the lower rack and unscrew the reservoir cap (anticlockwise).
- For the first use only: fill the salt reservoir with water.
- Position the funnel and fill the salt reservoir to its edge (approx. 1 kg). Some water may leak out.
- Remove the funnel and wipe away any salt residue from the opening.
Ensure the cap is screwed on tightly to prevent detergent from entering the container during the wash program. It is recommended to add salt before starting a wash cycle.
Setting the Water Hardness
To ensure the water softener works correctly, set the water hardness according to your local water supply. The factory setting is for average water hardness (3).
- Switch on the appliance (ON/OFF button).
- Switch off the appliance (ON/OFF button).
- Hold down START/PAUSE for 5 seconds until a beep is heard.
- Switch on the appliance (ON/OFF button). The current selection level number and salt indicator light will flash.
- Press P to select the desired hardness level (see WATER HARDNESS TABLE).
- Switch off the appliance (ON/OFF button). Setting is complete.
Run a program without loading after setting the water hardness. Only use salt specifically designed for dishwashers. The SALT REFILL indicator light will switch off after filling. If the salt container is not filled, the water softener and heating element may be damaged.
Water Hardness Table:
Level | German degrees (°dH) | French degrees (°fH) |
---|---|---|
1 Soft | 0-6 | 0-10 |
2 Medium | 7-11 | 11-20 |
3 Average | 12-17 | 21-30 |
4 Hard | 17-34 | 31-60 |
5 Very hard | 35-50 | 61-90 |
Filling the Rinse Aid Dispenser
Rinse aid aids dish drying. Fill the rinse aid dispenser (A) when the RINSE AID REFILL indicator light is lit.
- Open dispenser B by pressing and pulling the tab on the lid.
- Carefully add rinse aid up to the maximum (110 ml) reference notch, avoiding spills. Clean any spills immediately with a dry cloth.
- Press the lid down until it clicks shut.
Never pour rinse aid directly into the tub.
Adjusting the Dosage of Rinse Aid
If drying results are not satisfactory, adjust the rinse aid dosage.
- Switch on the dishwasher (ON/OFF button).
- Switch off the dishwasher (ON/OFF button).
- Press START/PAUSE three times; a beep will be heard.
- Switch on the dishwasher (ON/OFF button). The current selection level number and rinse aid indicator light will flash.
- Press P to select the rinse aid level.
- Switch off the dishwasher (ON/OFF button). Setting is complete.
If the rinse aid level is set to 1 (ECO), no rinse aid will be supplied. The LOW RINSE AID indicator light will not be lit if rinse aid runs out. A maximum of 4 levels can be set. The factory setting is for a medium level. Adjust to a lower number (2-3) if bluish streaks appear on dishes. Adjust to a higher number (4-5) if water drops or limescale marks appear.
Filling the Detergent Dispenser
To open the detergent dispenser, use the opening device A. Introduce detergent into the dry dispenser B only. Place the pre-wash detergent amount directly into the tub.
- Refer to the information provided for the correct detergent quantity. The dispenser B has indications for dosing.
- Remove any detergent residue from the dispenser edges and close the cover until it clicks.
- Close the detergent dispenser lid by pulling it up until the closing device is secured.
The detergent dispenser opens automatically at the correct time. If using all-in-one detergents, use the TABLET button to optimize washing and drying results.

Options and Functions
Options can be selected directly by pressing the corresponding button (see CONTROL PANEL). If an option is not compatible with the selected program, the corresponding LED flashes rapidly 3 times and beeps will sound. The option will not be enabled.
Zone Wash
This option allows the wash cycle to be carried out in the selected rack only. Select the wash cycle, then press the ZONE WASH button; the selected rack lights up, and the wash cycle starts in that rack only. Press the button again to deselect. Refer to the programs table to see which cycles are compatible.
This option is recommended for the Intensive and Everyday cycles.
- Intensive: For very soiled mixed loads, e.g., pans and saucepans, dishes with heavy encrustation or difficult-to-clean crockery. Spraying pressure and washing temperature are higher for optimum handling of stubborn stains.
- Everyday: For normally soiled crockery. This function reduces energy consumption. Cycle duration may change.
Remember to load crockery only in the selected rack.
Keylock
A long press (3 seconds) of the ZONE WASH button activates the KEYLOCK function. The KEYLOCK function blocks the control panel except for the ON/OFF button. To deactivate KEYLOCK, press and hold the button again.
Turbo
This option reduces the duration of main programs while maintaining washing and drying performance levels. Select the program, press the TURBO button, and the indicator light will switch on. Press the button again to deselect.
Tablet (Tab)
This setting optimizes program performance based on the type of detergent used. Press the TURBO button for 3 seconds (the corresponding symbol will light up) if using combined detergents (rinse aid, salt, and detergent in one dose). If using powder or liquid detergent, this option should be off.
Delay
The program start can be delayed from 0:30 to 24 hours.
- Select the program and any desired options. Press the DELAY button repeatedly to delay the start. The delay increases by 0:30 (if selection is below 4 hours), 1:00 (if below 12 hours), or 4 hours (if above 12 hours). Pressing the button after reaching 24 hours deactivates the delay start.
- Press START/PAUSE; the timer begins counting down.
- Once the time has elapsed, the indicator light switches off, and the program begins automatically.
If START/PAUSE is pressed during the countdown, the DELAY option is cancelled, and the selected program starts automatically. The DELAY function cannot be set once a program has started.
Water Tap Closed – Alarm
Flashes when there is no inlet water or the water tap is closed.
Drain Out
To stop and cancel an active cycle, use the Drain Out function. A long press of the START/PAUSE button activates DRAIN OUT. The active program stops, and the water drains out.
Daily Use
- Check Water Connection: Ensure the dishwasher is connected to the water supply and the tap is open.
- Switch On the Dishwasher: Press the ON/OFF button.
- Load the Racks: (See LOADING THE RACKS).
- Filling the Detergent Dispenser: (See PROGRAMS TABLE).
- Choose Program and Customize Cycle: Select the most appropriate program using the P button according to crockery type and soiling level (see PROGRAMS DESCRIPTION). Select desired options (see OPTIONS AND FUNCTIONS).
- Start: Start the wash cycle by pressing the START/PAUSE button. A beep indicates the program has started.
- End of Wash Cycle: The end of the wash cycle is indicated by beeps and the display showing END. Open the door and switch off the appliance (ON/OFF button). Wait a few minutes before removing crockery to avoid burns. Unload racks starting with the lower one.
The machine switches off automatically during extended periods of inactivity to minimize electricity consumption. If crockery is only lightly soiled or rinsed with water, reduce the detergent amount.
Modifying a Running Program
If a wrong program was selected, it can be changed if it has just begun: press and hold the ON/OFF button to switch off the machine. Switch it back on using the ON/OFF button, select the new wash cycle and options, then press START/PAUSE.
Adding Extra Crockery
Without switching off the machine, open the door (beware of hot steam!) and place the crockery inside. Close the door and press START/PAUSE; the cycle will resume from where it was interrupted.
Accidental Interruptions
If the door is opened during the wash cycle or if there is a power cut, the cycle stops. Once the door is closed or power is restored, press START/PAUSE to resume the cycle.

Advice and Tips
Tips
Before loading, remove all food residues from crockery and empty glasses. Rinsing beforehand is not necessary.
Arrange crockery firmly so it does not tip over. Place containers with openings facing downwards and concave/convex parts obliquely so water reaches all surfaces. Lids, handles, trays, and frying pans should not prevent the sprayer arms from rotating.
Place small items in the cutlery basket. Very soiled dishes and pans should be placed in the lower basket for stronger water sprays and better washing performance.
Ensure sprayer arms can rotate freely after loading.
Hygiene
To avoid odors and sediment, run a high-temperature program at least once a month. Use a teaspoon of detergent and run it without loading to clean the appliance.
Unsuitable Crockery
- Wooden crockery and cutlery.
- Delicate decorated glasses, artistic handicraft, and antique crockery (decorations may not be resistant).
- Parts in synthetic material that do not withstand high temperatures.
- Copper and tin crockery.
- Crockery soiled with ash, wax, lubricating grease, or ink.
Colors of glass decorations and aluminum/silver pieces may change and fade. Some glass types (e.g., crystal objects) can become opaque after several wash cycles.
Damage to Glass and Crockery
- Only use glasses and porcelain guaranteed by the manufacturer as dishwasher safe.
- Use a delicate detergent suitable for crockery.
- Collect glasses and cutlery from the dishwasher as soon as the wash cycle is over.
Loading the Racks
Upper Rack
Load delicate and light dishes: glasses, cups, saucers, low salad bowls.
Lower Rack
For pots, lids, plates, salad bowls, cutlery etc. Large plates and lids should ideally be placed at the sides to avoid interference with the spray arm. The lower rack has tip-up supports that can be used vertically for plates or horizontally for pans and salad bowls.
Adjusting the Height of the Upper Rack
The upper rack height can be adjusted: high position for bulky crockery in the lower basket, and low position to maximize tip-up supports, creating more space upwards and avoiding collision with items in the lower rack.
The upper rack is equipped with an Upper Rack height adjuster. Lift the rack by holding the sides without pressing the levers until it is stable in the upper position.
To lower the rack, press levers A at the sides and move the basket downwards. It is recommended not to adjust the rack height when loaded. Never raise or lower the basket on one side only.
Cutlery Basket
The basket has top grilles for improved cutlery arrangement. Position the cutlery basket only at the front of the lower rack.
Knives and utensils with sharp edges must be placed with points facing downwards or positioned horizontally in the tip-up compartments on the upper rack.
Foldable Flaps with Adjustable Position
The side foldable flaps can be positioned at three different heights to optimize crockery arrangement. Wine glasses can be placed safely in the foldable flaps by inserting the stem into the corresponding slots. For optimum drying, incline the foldable flaps more. To change inclination, pull up the flap, slide it slightly, and position as desired.
Care and Maintenance
Cleaning the Filter Assembly
Regularly clean the filter assembly to prevent clogging and ensure proper waste water flow. The filter assembly consists of three filters that remove food residues. Keep them clean for best washing results. The dishwasher must not be used without filters or if the filter is loose.
After several washes, check and clean the filter assembly under running water using a non-metallic brush, following these instructions:
- Turn cylindrical filter A anticlockwise and pull it out.
- Remove cup filter B by pressing the side flaps slightly.
- Slide out stainless-steel plate filter C.
- Inspect the trap and remove any food residues.
NEVER REMOVE the wash-cycle pump protection (black detail).
After cleaning the filters, replace the filter assembly correctly; this is essential for efficient dishwasher operation.
Cleaning the Spray Arms
Occasionally, food residue may encrust the spray arms and block the holes. Check the arms periodically and clean them with a small non-metallic brush.
To remove the upper spray arm, turn the plastic locking ring anticlockwise. Replace the upper spray arm with the side with more holes facing upwards.
The lower spray arm can be removed by pulling it upwards.
Cleaning the Water Inlet Hose
If water hoses are new or have not been used for an extended period, let the water run to ensure it is clear and free of impurities before making connections. Failure to do so may block the water inlet and damage the dishwasher.
