Connecting Headphones
Plug your headphones into the 3.5mm headphone port on the microphone for direct audio monitoring. (Note: HyperX Cloud III Wired headphones are not included).
Multifunction Control
The multifunction control allows you to adjust various settings. Press the button to cycle through adjustment modes, indicated by the LED ring. The LED ring will change color or pattern to show the selected mode:
- Microphone Gain: Adjust the input sensitivity of the microphone.

Selecting Polar Pattern
The QuadCast 2 offers four polar patterns for different recording scenarios. To select a polar pattern, press and hold the multifunction button for 2 seconds. The LED ring will indicate the selected pattern:
- Cardioid: Best for single-source audio pickup, rejecting sound from the sides and rear.
- Omnidirectional: Picks up sound equally from all directions.
- Stereo: Captures a wide, realistic sound image, ideal for instruments or ambient sounds.
- Bidirectional: Picks up sound from the front and rear, ideal for interviews with two people.
Muting the Microphone
Tap the top of the microphone (Tap-to-Mute Sensor) to quickly mute or unmute the microphone. The LED status indicator will show the current mute status.
Positioning the Microphone
For optimal sound quality, position the QuadCast 2 so that the front of the microphone (where the HyperX logo is located) faces the sound source.
Removing and Attaching Microphone to Shock Mount
The QuadCast 2 comes mounted on a shock mount. To remove it, twist the locking ring counter-clockwise and lift the microphone upwards. To attach, align the microphone with the shock mount and twist the locking ring clockwise until secure.
Attaching to Other Arms or Stands
The QuadCast 2 can be removed from its included stand and attached to microphone arms or stands with 3/8" or 5/8" threads. Remove the microphone from its stand, then screw it onto the desired mount.
