The Samsung SHP-DP728 is a digital door lock offering convenient and secure access through various methods including passwords, fingerprints, cards, and key tags. It also features smartphone interworking via Bluetooth.

Safety Cautions
Important information to ensure user safety and prevent property damage:
- Do not install or repair without authorization.
- Ensure the gap between the door and frame is less than 5mm.
- Keep passwords confidential.
- Do not operate with wet hands; keep liquids away from the product.
- Avoid excessive force or sharp objects on buttons.
- Ensure the door is completely closed before leaving.
- Do not hang on or pull the product.
- Avoid long-term direct sunlight exposure on the touchpad.
- Use new batteries and ensure correct polarity (+/-).
- Clean with appropriate materials; avoid water, benzene, or alcohol.
- Replace batteries within 1 week of the replacement alarm.
- Be aware of potential wireless communication interference.

Operation Instructions
Opening the Door from Outside with a Password
- Touch the Number Pad to light it up.
- Enter the password when the numbers are lighted, and press the [] button.
- Success: DING DONG DENG DONG. Fail: DING DONG DING DONG.
Note: If the password is entered incorrectly 5 times, a warning alarm sounds, and the system shuts down for 3 minutes.
Opening the Door from Outside with a Card or Key Tag
- Place the registered card or key tag on the card reader.
- Success: DING DONG DENG DONG. Fail: DING DONG DING DONG.
Opening the Door from the Inside
The door can be opened using the push-pull or pull-push handle.
- Automatic Locking Setting: The door locks automatically 1 second after closing.
- Manual Locking Setting: Press the [Close] button to lock the door.
Closing the Door from the Inside
Press the [CLOSE] button to lock the door. To check the lock status, briefly press the security button: red LED indicates locked, blue LED indicates unlocked.
Fingerprint, Card and Key Tag Registration
Up to 100 fingerprints and 20 cards (ISO14443 A Type) can be registered.
- Press the [Register] button on the inner body.
- Enter the password (default '1234' after initialization) from the outside.
- For Fingerprint: Touch the Fingerprint Reading Panel with the finger 3 times until a "ding" sound is heard.
- For Card/Key Tag: Place the card or key tag on the card reader until "DING DONG DENG" sounds.
- Press the [Registration] button on the inner body to exit.
Opening the Door from the Outside with a Fingerprint
- Press the [Open Fingerprint Cover] button.
- Touch the Fingerprint Reading Panel with the registered fingerprint after the LED light turns on.
- Success: DING DONG DENG DONG. Fail: DING DONG DING DONG.
Initialization (Password, Fingerprint, Bluetooth, Card, Key Tag)
This process deletes all registered data. The password resets to '1234'.
- Press and hold the [Register] button on the inner body for 5 seconds.
- Enter '4560852580' and press the [] button from the outside.
- Confirm with "DING DONG DING DING".
Activation/Deactivation of the Bluetooth Mode
The Bluetooth mode is activated by default.
- Activate: Press [11] + [] button.
- Deactivate: Press [00] + [] button.
Note: Requires iOS 7.1+ or Android 4.3+ smartphones. Refer to the app for pairing instructions.
Pairing of a Smart Phone
- Download the "sHome Doorlock" app.
- Turn on smartphone Bluetooth.
- Open the battery cover and press the [REG] button.
- Enter '88' + [] from the outside.
- Enter the password and press [].
- Enter the 6-digit pairing code displayed in the app and press [].
- Success: DING DONG DENG DING DONG. Fail: DING DONG DING DONG.
Advanced Functions
Deleting Registered Fingerprints & Cards
- Press the [Register] button on the inner body for 3 seconds.
- Enter the current password from the outside.
- For individual deletion: Read the fingerprint or place the card to be deleted.
- For all fingerprints: Enter [77] + [].
- For all cards: Enter [88] + [].
- Press the [Registration] button to exit.
Double Authorization Mode Setting
Requires one or more registered fingerprints. Enables password and fingerprint entry.
- Press the [Register] button on the inner body.
- Press [4] + [] to enable double authorization.
- Press [6] + [] to disable.
Two-factor Authentication Mode Operation: Enter password, then touch registered fingerprint.
Password Change
- Press the [Register] button on the inner body.
- Enter the current password from the outside.
- Enter the new password (4-12 digits) and press [].
- Verify the new password.
Sound Setting and Releasing
Adjust sound levels for button presses and lock/unlock operations.
- Open battery cover, set [Sound Control] switch to [0] (silent), [1], or [2] (louder).
- [0]: Deactivates all sounds except alarms.
- [1]/[2]: Activates sounds, increasing volume with higher numbers.
Automatic/Manual Locking Setting
Set the door to lock automatically or manually.
- Set the [Automatic/Manual Locking] switch to 'A' (automatic) or 'M' (manual).
- Automatic: Locks 1 second after the door closes.
- Manual: Requires pressing the [CLOSE] button from the inside.
Security Assurance Mode Activation/Deactivation
Prevents the door from being opened from the outside when someone is inside.
- Activation: While the door is locked, press and hold the [CLOSE] button on the inner body for 3 seconds.
- Deactivation: Pull the inner body handle to open the door.
Operation: Inside: Pressing [CLOSE] button results in an action-unavailable sound. Outside: Attempts to open result in an action-unavailable sound.
Warning: Be cautious when activating this mode, as it prevents unlocking from the outside.
Set up Instructions for Alarm and Anti-unlock functions
- Alarm function: Press and hold the [ ] button for 3 seconds when the door is closed until sound confirmation.
- Anti-Bypass function: Press [] and hold for 3 seconds.
- Release Alarm/Anti-Bypass: Press the [CLOSE] button.
Warning: Anti-Bypass function should only be set when no one is inside.
Welcome Function On/Off
- Open battery cover and press [Registration] button briefly.
- [1]+[]: Welcome function ON, one-minute alarm ON.
- [2]+[]: Welcome function ON, one-minute alarm OFF.
- [3]+[]: Welcome function OFF.
- [5]+[]: Set fingerprint authentication standby mode.
- [8]+[]: Clear fingerprint authentication standby mode.
Note: Factory default is Welcome function ON, alarm function OFF. Sensor working distance may vary.
Door Lock Time Setup Function
Sets the time interval between door closing and deadbolt locking.
- Open battery cover and press [Register] button briefly.
- Press [51] (1 second) to [59] (9 seconds) and then press [].
Intrusion Detection Function
Generates an alarm if the door is forcefully opened. This is a basic, non-configurable function.
Replacing the Batteries
When the melody "Für Elise" plays, it's time to replace batteries.
- Replace all 8 AA batteries within 1 week of the first alarm.
- Warning: Battery life varies. Ensure correct polarity. Check batteries every 6 months. Password/card registration is disabled during low battery state.
Using the Emergency Battery
A 9V battery can be used as an emergency power source to operate the lock.
Connect a 9V battery to the external power contact point.
Alarm Sound (Prank Prevention Function)
Generates an alarm and deactivates the lock for 3 minutes if improperly handled (e.g., multiple incorrect password entries).
- Releasing the Alarm: Press the [Register] button (inside) or use a registered card/password (outside).
Built-in Fire Detection Function
Activates an alarm and automatically opens the door if fire is detected (around 70°C ± 10°C).
The [Close] button flashes, and an alarm sounds. The door opens after the alarm stops.
Multi-leveled Security Code Entry Mode
Allows setting different security modes for password entry.
- Press the [Register] button on the inner body.
- Press [7] + [] for Multi-leveled Security Code Entry Mode.
- Press [9] + [] for Common Mode.
