Aldes Virtuo-Fix CP 2A Galva D200/315 + Joint
Raccord pour réseaux de ventilation
Product Overview
The Aldes Virtuo-Fix CP 2A with joint ensures the connection and accessibility of vertical collector networks and horizontal networks, improving acoustics and aerodynamics while ensuring Class C airtightness. This galvanized steel duct connector is designed for tertiary sector buildings and collective housing, particularly for columns that terminate in attics or terraces where sealing is done before the connector is installed.
The CP2A features exclusive Aldes technology (patented) for reduced fan consumption and 35% less pressure loss compared to standard CP connectors. It also offers improved acoustic attenuation, providing 7dB(A) of sound reduction from the fan noise, which is 3dB(A) better than standard CP connectors.
Product Description
The acoustic and aerodynamic duct connector with joint is a galvanized steel accessory that connects the vertical collector network and the horizontal network. It ensures Class C airtightness and, in accordance with DTU 68.1 and 68.2 requirements, provides accessibility to the vertical column and the horizontal network. It is specifically designed for columns that exit into attics or terraces of tertiary buildings and collective housing, where sealing is completed before the connector is installed (in approximately 95% of cases). The acoustic and aerodynamic duct connector with joint is equipped with a stop ring on the body of the connector to keep the plug stable and limit the risk of leaks. The aerodynamic characteristics of the CP2A reduce the pressure drop required by the fan, potentially allowing for the selection of a less powerful, quieter, and more energy-efficient fan.

Installation
The connector is installed by a slight rotation of the accessory into the duct. The Aldes joint ensures airtightness, eliminating the need for mastic or adhesive tape. Self-tapping screws are recommended, especially for vertical installations. The joint system is designed for easy connection and disconnection, offering a low connection torque while maintaining Class C airtightness.

Performance Curves
The document includes performance curves illustrating the pressure drop (Pa) in relation to air velocity (m/s) for both standard CP connectors and the CP2A model. The CP2A's acoustic attenuation is attributed to two factors: acoustic expansion due to the connector's shape, which primarily affects frequencies below 500 Hz, and the high-density acoustic foam, which attenuates frequencies above 500 Hz. This dual mechanism makes the CP2A complementary to passive sound traps, especially at low frequencies.
Regulatory Information
The product complies with relevant French technical directives (DTU) and European standards for airtightness.
