Latch Specifications
Standard 2-3/4" Latch
This configuration features a 2-3/4" latch. The associated faceplate is 1-1/8" (28.6mm) wide. The main door preparation hole for the latch is 1" (25mm) in diameter. Key dimensions relative to the door edge are: 5/16" (8mm) for vertical screw hole spacing, 2-1/4" (57mm) from the edge to the center of the latch hole, and 1-5/8" (41mm) from the edge to the bottom of the latch hole.
Optional 2-3/8" Latch
This configuration uses a 2-3/8" latch. The associated faceplate is 1" (25mm) wide. The main door preparation hole for the latch is 1" (25mm) in diameter. Key dimensions relative to the door edge are: 5/16" (8mm) for vertical screw hole spacing, 2-1/4" (57mm) from the edge to the center of the latch hole, and 1-5/8" (41mm) from the edge to the bottom of the latch hole.
Door Preparation and Backset Details
Bevel
The edge of the door preparation is beveled: 1/8" in 2" (3mm in 51mm).
Backset Options
The lock mechanism supports two backset options:
- 2-3/8" (60mm)
- 2-3/4" (70mm)
Main Door Hole Diameter
The primary hole for the lock cylinder and mechanism is 2-1/8" (54mm) in diameter.
Thrubolt Hole Diameter
The holes for the thrubolts are 5/16" (8.0mm) in diameter.
Thrubolt Hole Spacing
The center-to-center (CTC) spacing for the thrubolt holes is 2-3/4".
Latch Mechanism Holes
Additional smaller holes for the latch mechanism measure 5/32" or 1/8".
Door Handing
The template illustrates door handing configurations: Left Handed Doors (showing Outside and Inside views) and Right Handed Doors (showing Inside and Outside views).
Important Note
These specifications are applicable for all lock functions except the dummy function.
