Remove the memory card: Ensure the camera is off. Push the edge of the memory card with your fingernail to remove it.
Note:
- MicroSD cards are sold separately and require a high endurance or UHS-I rating, up to 512GB.
- VIOFO recommends industrial-grade microSD cards for better performance and reliability.
- Format the memory card before first use on a computer or in the camera (exFAT or FAT32).
- Turn off the A329 before inserting or removing the microSD card.
- Inserting or removing the card during recording may corrupt files.
Format the memory card
Memory cards must be formatted before first use. This can be done in the camera via the VIOFO App or by long-pressing the [ ◄IREC ] button. Alternatively, format using a computer and the GUIFormat tool available at https://viofotech.com/download/guiformat.exe.
Note: Periodically formatting the card ensures optimal performance. Formatting erases all data, so back up important files beforehand.
Install the SSD (Optional)
1. Connect the SSD to the dashcam using the VIOFO Type-C SSD cable.
2. Secure the SSD in a suitable location inside the car, ensuring it doesn't obstruct the driver's view. The glove compartment is recommended for optimal temperature (0-60°C).
3. Choose to save recorded videos to the SSD immediately or set the file storage location later in dashcam settings.
Note:
- PSSD (Portable SSD) is recommended.
- Format the SSD before first use (exFAT file system).
- The dashcam can only store data on either the SSD or the microSD card, not both simultaneously.
Remove the SSD
Unplug the SSD cable from the dashcam. If a memory card is inserted, files will be saved to it. If no memory card is present, you will be prompted to insert one.
Install the Front Camera

- Peel off the protective film from the sticky pad and camera lens.
- Fix the camera securely in place.
- Adjust the Lens Angle by observing the live view on the LCD.
- Connecting to Power: Insert the car charger USB cable into the camera mount's Type-C port and plug the adapter into the vehicle's 12V/24V socket.
Install the Static Sticker (Optional)
- Clean the windscreen surface.
- Peel off the red protective film, attach the sticker to the windscreen, and press to remove bubbles.
- Peel off the green protective film.
- Peel off the sticky pad's protective film, attach the mount to the sticker, and press firmly.
Install the Rear Camera (Optional)
- Select an installation location on the windscreen, avoiding defrost grid wires, where the camera can capture the entire rear view.
- Wipe the installation surface clean with a dry cloth.
- Peel the protection film off the sticky pad and camera lens.
- Fix the rear camera in the selected location.
- Connecting with Rear Camera: Power off the dashcam and connect the rear camera cable to the front camera (main unit). Ensure proper cable routing as shown in the diagrams.
Remove Cameras
To remove the front camera, slide it to the right on its bracket and pull it out. For the rear camera, turn off the camera before plugging or unplugging the cable.
Tips for Installation:
- Avoid locations that obstruct driver visibility or safety.
- Mount close to the rearview mirror for balanced field of view.
- Position within the windshield wiper's sweep range for clear views in rain.
- Do not install near airbag panels.
- Ensure the mounting location is not affected by window tint or other electronic equipment.
Note: Do not install the camera or cables near an airbag panel or its working range, as the manufacturer is not liable for injuries related to airbag deployment.
