Quick Guide - Filling of Cylinders
Steps 1-6 for standard filling.

Step 1
Mount the filling adapter to the filling hose.
Pressurize the filling hose.
Turn the automatic filling adapter until you can hear airflow.

Step 2
Turn an additional 1/4 turn.

Step 3
Fill the cylinder.

Step 4
Remove the adapter and let the cylinder cool.

Step 5
Mount the adapter to the cylinder again and top off the cylinder until full.

Step 6
Remove the filling adapter.
Mount the hose to the regulator again.
Steps 7-10 if the cylinder has been stored without air.

Step 7
Remove the quick-start ring.
Turn the handwheel 3 revolutions, listening for a click with each turn.
Mount the quick-start ring.

Step 8
Remove the cap from the breathing hose.
Submerge the hose nipple slightly in water and check for bubbles over 1 minute.
Ensure no water enters the hose.
Dry the hose nipple and remount the cap.
No bubbles = OK!
Bubbles = Test failed!
Wait one hour before proceeding.

Step 9
Store the cylinder for 24 hours at room temperature.

Step 10
Ensure the cylinder has full pressure.
Repeat the test according to step 8.
If the test fails, the unit must be taken out of service.
