Spiroguide II
Product Overview
The Spiroguide II harness represents a significant advancement in firefighter safety equipment, developed through close cooperation with firefighters and ergonomics experts. Its design emphasizes versatility and robustness, ensuring it can withstand extreme environments. Each component is carefully selected for durability and performance.
The harness offers adjustable sizing for different body types, with four settings: "S", "M", "L", and "XL". The selected size is clearly visible from both the front and back. A practical design allows for size adjustment even with the cylinder mounted and without removing the apparatus from the fire truck.
The Spiroguide II features an ergonomic and easy-to-read digital display with a powerful backlight and two prominent buttons, designed for reliable operation under any conditions.
Digital Display Capabilities
The digital display can be configured to show one or more of the following:
- Cylinder pressure in bar
- Cylinder pressure symbol
- Remaining air time based on actual breathing rate
- Absorbed temperature
Integrated Safety Features
An automatic motion and panic alarm, integrated with a motion sensor, is a key feature of the Spiroguide II. It can be activated manually via a tally key or automatically when the unit is pressurized. A manual override button is conveniently located on the display unit.
A distinct turn-back signal provides an additional layer of safety, configurable to activate at a specific level above the low air warning or automatically based on start pressure. The unit logs cylinder pressure, status, warnings, and temperatures with date and time for every event.
For enhanced safety, the Spiroguide II performs an automatic startup test to check cylinder pressure and electronic functions. This test requires no user interaction until completion, with results acknowledged by the user. Back at the station, a full start-up test verifies vital SCBA functions, including leakage, airflow, and motion alarm functions, guided by user-friendly step-by-step instructions on the display. A service mode is accessible directly on the display unit, providing relevant service data.
