Mayflash Magic NS: Quick Start Guide

This guide provides essential information for setting up and using the Mayflash Magic NS Wireless Bluetooth Controller USB Adapter. It covers connecting various controllers to systems like Nintendo Switch, PC, and PS3, explaining LED indicators, mode switching, and software updates.

Adapter Connections

Connect the adapter via USB A-Male to your Nintendo Switch, PS3, or PC. The USB A-Female port supports wired controllers such as PS4, PS3, Nintendo Switch Pro, Xbox One, Xbox One S, Xbox 360 controllers, fight sticks, and standard USB controllers.

LED Indicators and Modes

The adapter features LED indicators to show its current mode and connection status:

• Blue LED: PS3 or PC Dinput System mode. Slow blink indicates not connected, quick blink indicates syncing, solid light indicates paired.
• Red LED: Nintendo Switch System mode. Status indicators are the same as Blue LED.
• Green LED: PC Xinput System mode. Status indicators are the same as Blue LED.
• Purple LED: Switch Pro mode. Status indicators are the same as Blue LED.
• Yellow LED: NEOGEO mini mode. Status indicators are the same as Blue LED.

A slow blink (approx. 2 times/second) signifies that Bluetooth is not yet connected.

The side button is used for mode switching and Bluetooth pairing. A short press syncs controllers; a long press (3-5 seconds) switches between modes, indicated by slow blinking LEDs (Blue for PS3/Dinput, Red for Switch, Green for PC Xinput, Purple for Switch Pro).

1. Connect your Nintendo Switch to a TV or turn on your PC.
2. Plug the adapter into a USB port on your system.
3. Turn on your Bluetooth controllers.
4. To sync, press the adapter's side button, then the sync button on your controller. The LED will blink quickly.
5. If syncing fails, use a USB cable to connect the controller to the adapter first, then try syncing wirelessly.
6. A solid LED indicates the Bluetooth controller has been paired.

Wired Controllers Setup

1. Connect your system (Switch/PC) to its display.
2. Plug the adapter into a USB port.
3. Connect wired controllers to the adapter. Note: Wireless controllers require a USB cable connection to the adapter.

Software Update

To update the adapter's software, follow these steps:

1. Download the software from Mayflash Support and install it on your Windows system.
2. Run the updater.
3. Connect the adapter to your PC via USB. Ensure it's in PS3/Dinput (Blue) or Switch (Red) mode.
4. Once recognized (LED turns off), select "Update" in the software.
5. Do not disconnect the adapter until the update is complete.

Important Notes

• Only one Bluetooth controller can be connected at a time per adapter.
• A wired USB controller and a wireless Bluetooth controller can connect simultaneously, but they share functions and can only control one game character.
• Button mapping (A-B/B-A, X-Y/Y-X) can be switched for specific controllers (Switch Pro, Joy-Con, Wii U Pro) on PC Xinput mode by holding START + A or START + B.
• For Xbox 360/Xbox One controllers on Switch, button mapping can be switched by holding START + B or START + A.
• Switch Pro mode supports controller vibration.
• On Switch, the PS4 controller's Touch Pad acts as the Capture button.
• To disconnect up to 4 Bluetooth controllers, press the adapter's side button sequentially for each.
• For Nintendo Joy-Cons, connect the Right Joy-Con first, then the Left.
• Logitech wireless gamepad F710 is supported; connect its emitter to the adapter.
• For optimal identification on Nintendo Switch, enable "Pro Controller Wired Communication" in system settings when the adapter is in Switch Pro mode (Purple LED).
