BiNavi Comprehensive Bike Navigator User Manual
This user manual provides comprehensive instructions for the BiNavi Comprehensive Bike Navigator by iGPSPORT. It covers product introduction, setup, riding modes, navigation, training features, sensor connectivity, and device settings.
Product Introduction
Computer Buttons
The BiNavi bike computer features several buttons for operation:
- Power Button (1): Short press to power on/back/enter status page. Long press to power off. Acts as a zoom button on the map page.
- Select Button (2): Selects options or enters the ride menu.
- Lap Button (3): Used for laps or quick settings.
- Ridding Button (4): Starts or pauses an activity.
- Upward Button (5): Switches up or left.
- Downward Button (6): Switches down or right.
Icon Descriptions
The device displays various icons:
- GPS Signal: Indicates GPS connectivity strength.
- Battery: Shows the remaining battery level.
- Bluetooth: Indicates Bluetooth connection status.
- Data Transmission: Shows data transfer activity.
- Menu: Accesses the main menu.
- Start Recording: Begins recording an activity.
- Stop Recording: Pauses an activity.
- Home Page: Navigates to the main screen.
- End Recording: Stops and saves an activity.
- CORE: Likely related to core body temperature or advanced metrics.
- Heart Rate Monitor: Connects to a heart rate sensor.
- Cadence Sensor: Connects to a cadence sensor.
- Speed Sensor: Connects to a speed sensor.
- Speed and Cadence Sensor: Connects to a combined speed and cadence sensor.
- Power Meter: Connects to a power meter.
- Electronic Shifter: Connects to an electronic gear shifter.
- Radar: Connects to a radar sensor for traffic detection.
- Trainer: Connects to a smart trainer.
- E-bike: Connects to an electric bicycle system.
- Light: Controls connected bike lights.
Charging
The device is powered by a built-in lithium-ion battery. Charge using a power adapter or USB port with a compatible USB-C cable.
- Lift the weather cap from the USB port.
- Connect the USB charging cable.
- Charge the device completely.
- Unplug the cable and close the weather cap.
Note: Use a DC5V standard power adapter. Fast charge adapters are not recommended as they may damage the battery.
When the battery is low, a low battery icon will appear. Do not overstretch the USB weather cap to maintain waterproof and dust-proof performance.
Pairing
Pairing your smartphone with the bike computer enhances convenience and provides access to more features via the iGPSPORT APP.
First Pairing
- Open the iGPSPORT APP and log in.
- Place the bike computer near your smartphone and navigate to the device page in the APP.
- Click "Add Device", select "Cycling Products", and your smartphone will search for BiNavi.
- Select BiNavi and click "Connect" to start pairing.
- When prompted, click "Pair" on the device to accept the request.
- The bike computer will appear in the device list. Follow the prompts in the iGPSPORT APP to finish settings and sync.
If pairing fails, try restarting the smartphone's Bluetooth, the iGPSPORT APP, or the bike computer.
Remove Pairing
To pair with a new smartphone, remove the current pairing first:
- Go to "System Menu" > "Pair Phone" to view the paired device list.
- Select "Unpair Phone" and confirm.
The bike computer will restart, and a "Bluetooth Disconnected" icon will appear.
Note: Pair using the iGPSPORT APP, not the smartphone's Bluetooth settings. Ensure your smartphone has internet and Bluetooth enabled. Download the iGPSPORT APP from the AppStore or GooglePlay. For Android users, enable location permissions for the iGPSPORT APP.
Firmware Update
To maintain optimal performance, update the firmware when a new version is available. The device automatically checks for updates when connected to Bluetooth. You can also manually check via the iGPSPORT APP (> "Device" > "Firmware Update"). The update process may take up to 20 minutes depending on Bluetooth signal strength.
Installation of Standard Bike Mount
- Place the rubber disk on the back of the bike mount.
- Attach the mount to the bike stem.
- Loop the rubber bands around the bike stem and secure the buckle.
- Align the tabs on the device with the mount notches.
- Place the device on the mount and rotate 90 degrees.
Note: Use iGPSPORT Standard Bike Mount or Out-Front Mount to prevent damage to the device's tab.
Going for a Ride
Pre-Riding
Ensure accurate data by being outdoors in an open space to receive a satellite signal before riding. The device will automatically connect to previously paired sensors when woken up. During the ride, it measures heart rate, cadence, and power using connected sensors.
Using Touch Screen
- After receiving a satellite signal, select a ride mode on the homepage to enter the riding data page.
- Slide left and right to switch between riding data pages.
- Pull down from the top to display the status page.
- Long press on the riding data page to enter page and field editing mode.
- Tap anywhere on the riding data page to wake the status bar for quick operations.
- Select ↩️ to return to the homepage.
- Select ➡️ to enter the riding page.
- Select ▶️ to start recording.
- During riding, select ⏸️ to stop recording.
- During riding recording, select ? to end riding and save records.
Using Buttons
- After receiving satellite signals, press ▶️ to enter the riding date page.
- Select ⬆️ / ⬇️ to switch riding data pages.
- Select ↩️ to return to the homepage.
- During riding recording, select ☰ to evoke the status page.
- Press ▶️ to record riding.
- During riding recording, select ⏸️ to stop recording.
- During riding recording, select ? to record a new lap.
- Select ... to enter the riding page, then select "Save" to end riding and save the recording.
While-Riding
Scan Data View: Switch riding views by sliding left or right. Displayed data depends on the selected ride mode and your customizations. You can set up specific pages and custom data fields for each activity mode.
Riding Menu: Select ⚫⚫⚫ to open the menu for functions like route navigation, workouts, and page configuration.
Lap: Manually lap by pressing ?. The Auto Lap function can be enabled in Ride Mode Settings (System Menu > Ride Mode > Auto > Auto Lap) and set by distance, position, or time.
Post-Riding
Activity Summary
After finishing an activity, view immediate details on the device. More detailed analysis is available in the iGPSPORT APP or on the official website. On the homepage, select "History" to view recent activities and their summaries.
View Riding Data in the iGPSPORT APP
If your smartphone is within Bluetooth range, the device syncs automatically with the iGPSPORT APP (if auto-sync is enabled). The APP allows you to view analyzed data, share rides, and track progress. For more details, refer to the iGPSPORT APP.
Ride Mode
Ride modes define your riding style. The device has six default modes, and you can create up to eight custom modes. You can customize data pages and fields for each mode.
Select "Ride Mode" from the system menu to choose a mode.
Enabling Modes
Select "Enable" on the Ride Mode Settings page and flip the switch.
Page Settings
Select "Pages" to access the page list, which includes 5 built-in data pages and specific pages like maps and elevation tables.
- Select a page to enter its settings.
- Select "Enable" to show or hide the page.
- Select "Page Fields" to enter editing mode and customize data fields. Use ⬆️ / ⬇️ to switch templates and preview. Select a field to choose data to display. Select ✔️ to save and exit.
- Page sorting is supported; use ⬆️ / ⬇️ to move pages up or down.
- Set a page as the "Home Page" for auto-return functionality.
Alerts Settings
- Select "Alerts" to view options.
- Select an alert and "Enable" it.
- Set the "Threshold" value for the alert.
Auto Functions
- Select "Auto Functions" to view options.
- Select an auto function to turn it on or off.
iClimb
- Select "iClimb" to turn on/off this function.
- To use iClimb, send a roadbook with elevation data from the iGPSPORT APP to the bike computer.
- The iClimb page automatically pops up when navigating a route with a grade over 3% and a slope over 500m.
Add Modes
- Select "Add" to enter the list of mode templates.
- Select an existing mode as a template.
- Customize the template into a new mode.
Delete Modes
Select "Delete" to remove user-added ride modes.
Navigation
Plan routes in the iGPSPORT APP and send them to the device. Supports GPX or TCX file import. You can also use routes from previous rides.
Select "Navigation" on the home page to access the navigation menu.

Navigate by Saved Activities
- Select "Activities" to view options.
- Select an activity to start navigation.
Navigate by a Route
- Send a route from the iGPSPORT APP to the device.
- Select "Route Navigation" to view available routes.
- Select a route to see its overview and elevation profile.
- Select "Navigate" to start.
Navigate by Locations
- Select "Saved Locations" to view lists.
- Select a location to preview it on the map.
- Select "Navigate" to plan a route to that location from your current position.
Navigation Settings
- Select "Rerouting" to enable/disable automatic route re-planning when off-track.
- Select "Navigation Screen Flash" to turn on/off screen flashing for turn prompts.
- Select "Elevation Graph" to turn on/off elevation data display.
- Select "Navigation Cue" to set where turn prompts appear (All Pages, Pages 1-5, Off).
Map Settings
Configure map settings including North Up, Auto Zoom, map overlays, and map themes (Classic, Colorful).
Navigation Operations
- Enter ride mode and switch to the map page.
- Select ➕ / ➖ to zoom in or out.
- Select ? to switch to North Up.
- Select ? to enter map touch mode for dragging and zooming with two fingers. Long press to mark locations.
- Press ⚫⚫⚫ to enter the ride menu for options like stopping the route, returning to the start, or navigating to a location.
Training
Create training plans and workouts in the iGPSPORT APP, or create interval training courses on the bike computer.
Access Training options: Training Plan, Workouts, Interval Training, Smart Trainer, FTP Test, Training Settings.
Following a Workout Course
- Send a workout from the iGPSPORT APP to the device.
- Select a workout to view its steps.
- Select "Start Training" to enter ride mode and view the training page.
- Select ▶️ to start training and the activity timer.
- Select ⏱️ on the training page to stop the current step and proceed to the next.
- Select ⚫⚫⚫ on the training page to enter the riding menu and select "Stop Training" to end the workout.
The workout stops after the activity is saved or discarded.
Following a Training Plan
- Send a training plan from the iGPSPORT APP to the device.
- Select the calendar to view daily plans and workouts.
- Select "Start Training" to enter ride mode and view the training page.
Operations after entering ride mode are similar to workouts.
Using Interval Training
- Select "Interval Training" to enter settings.
- Set training time and type using "Ride".
- Set rest time and type using "Rest".
- Set the number of training cycles using "Repeat".
- Use "Warm Up" or "Cool Down" to toggle pre-training warm-up and post-training cool-down functions.
Using Smart Trainer
- Select "Smart Trainer" to view options.
- If the Smart Trainer is not connected, select "Pair Smart Trainer" to connect it.
- Set resistance level using "Resistance Mode".
- Set target power using "Power Mode".
- Set grade using "Grade Mode".
- Select "Follow An Activity" to have the trainer adjust resistance based on route elevation.
- Select ▶️ to start or stop trainer training.
Cycling Ability
The bike computer evaluates performance metrics like training effect, training load, stamina, VO2max, and recovery time.
Access via System Menu: Ride Mode, Fitness Level, Cycling Ability, Training Status, Sensor, Recovery Status, Theme, FTP, Pair Phone, Lactate Threshold, Power Manage, Personal Heart Rate.
Notes:
- Enter accurate user information (gender, age, weight, height) before training.
- Wear a heart rate monitor for training.
Fitness Level
- Select "Fitness Level" on the homepage to view fitness indicators.
- Slide left and right to view fitness level, VO2 max, FTP & MAP.
Note: To obtain fitness level, ride for at least 20 minutes at moderate to high intensity with a heart rate sensor.
Training Status
- Select "Training Status" on the homepage to view training status and metrics.
- Slide left and right to view training status, load trends, and last 7 days' training load.
Note: To obtain training status and load trend data, ride for at least 7 days, 20 minutes per day, with a heart rate sensor.
Recovery Status
Select "Recovery Status" on the homepage to view recovery status and complete recovery time.
FTP
On the homepage, select System Menu > Cycling Ability > FTP to view FTP, enable auto-detection, and measure FTP.
Lactate Threshold Heart Rate
On the homepage, select System Menu > Cycling Ability > Lactate Threshold Heart Rate to view and enable auto-detection.
Personal Heart Rate Zone
On the homepage, select System Menu > Cycling Ability > Personal Heart Rate Zone to view and set personal heart rate zones according to your training target.
User Information
On the homepage, select System Menu > Cycling Ability > User Information to set personal physiological parameters.
Segment
Segment function allows you to challenge yourself by timing specific sections or areas to improve performance and compare with historical data.
Sending Segments
- Send segments from the iGPSPORT APP to the bike computer.
- After connecting the APP, select "My Segments" on the "My" page to send them.
Segments Preview
- Select "Segment" on the homepage to view options.
- Select a segment to preview its information.
- Select "Navigate to Start" to enter ride mode and navigate to the segment's start.
Segment Settings
Enable/disable segment detection, select challenge targets, and synchronize segment information with the APP.
Using Segment
When segment detection is enabled, the segment page will appear during recording if you pass a segment route. "Segment Completed" will be displayed after finishing.
Music Control
To use music control, install and connect the iGPSPORT app to the bike computer. Play music on your phone, and you can control it via the bike computer.
Note: Supports iOS and Android (Harmony OS not supported). For Android, enable "Smart Notification" > "Access Notification" in the iGPSPORT app or phone settings.
- Enter the riding data page and swipe left or right to access the music control page.
- View the currently playing song information.
- Control playback, skip tracks, and adjust volume.
History
View history rides stored on the device, including time, distance, calories, and sensor data. Older records may be overwritten if memory is full.
Access History: Latest Activity, All Activities, Personal Record, Delete.
All Activities
- Select "All Activities" to view history.
- Select an activity to view its summary.
- Select "Summary" for detailed views (summary, lap, graph, climbs, segments, training status).
- Select "Delete" to remove an activity.
Personal Record
View your best records, including furthest ride, fastest average speed, highest climb, longest time, and best power.
- Select "Personal Record" on the homepage.
- Select a record to view its data.
- Select "View" to see corresponding history activities.
- Select "Reset" to clear current records.
Weather
Install and pair the iGPSPORT APP with the bike computer. Enable location services on your phone to get weather information, which is then synchronized to the bike computer. View weather, temperature, rainfall rate, wind speed, and direction.
Smart Notification
Receive calls, messages, and app notifications from your phone on the bike computer. Note: Smart Notification enabled may increase battery consumption due to constant Bluetooth connection.
Status Page
Pull down from the top of the homepage or riding page, or select ☰ to wake up the status page. View GPS, battery, sensor connection status, sunrise/sunset times, elevation, and more. Provides quick access to GPS settings, elevation calibration, brightness, sensor settings, weather, and smart notifications.
The status page displays information like time (15:43), GPS status, elevation (62m), battery (100%), sensor connections, weather, and notifications.
Smart Light Connection
Connect the bike computer to compatible bike lights to control modes, smart functions, and view battery levels.
- Smart Light Sensing: Automatically controls bike light on/off and brightness based on ambient light, using the bike computer's light sensor.
- Light Alerts: Front light can sync with navigation and cycling data for safety alerts. Navigation cues can cause the front light to flash when turning.
- Heart Rate Warning: In ride mode, if Alert Settings (heart rate) are enabled, the front light flashes when heart rate exceeds the set range, enhancing cycling safety.
The interface shows bike light models (VS1800S, SR mini) with options for High Beam, Smart functions, Speed, Light Alerts, Brake, and Auto settings.
Settings
Access settings via "System Menu" on the homepage or the shortcut key ⚙️.
System Menu options include: Ride Mode, Cycling Ability, Sensor, Theme, Pair Phone, Power Manage.
Sensors
Pair with ANT+ and Bluetooth sensors: heart rate monitors, cadence sensors, speed sensors, power meters, smart trainers, shifters, radars, lights, and e-bikes. Compatibility is subject to actual connection status.
Sensors Pairing
Ensure sensors are properly installed before pairing. Refer to sensor user manuals for installation details.
- Select "Add Sensor" to search for sensors by model or type.
- Wake up sensors: Cadence sensor (rotate crank arms), Speed sensor (rotate wheel), Power meter (rotate crank arms). A flashing red light indicates the sensor is enabled.
- When a sensor is found, its model and ID are displayed. Select it to connect.
- Select "Connect" to pair multiple sensors.
- A "Successful Connection" pop-up will appear upon successful pairing.
Notes:
- Ensure sensors are awake before pairing.
- Sensors will automatically connect if previously paired.
- Replacing batteries or firmware upgrades may require re-searching and connecting sensors.
- For dual-mode sensors, prioritize ANT+ protocol for connection.
Sensors Settings
Ensure correct use and accurate measurement by setting up connected sensors.
- Wheel Size: For speed sensors, set the wheel size. Select the speed sensor, press Confirm, and choose the wheel diameter. Refer to the Appendix for Common Wheel Diameter Parameters.
- Crank Length: Set crank length in millimeters (available after pairing with a power meter).
- Power Meter Calibration: Wake up the sensor, select "Power Calibration" in the menu, and follow on-screen instructions. Refer to the manufacturer's instructions for specific calibration details.
Sensors Removing
- Select a saved sensor to view options.
- Select "Forget" to remove the sensor.
Theme
Customize theme color, dark mode, and widgets. Select "Desktop" to switch between themes, "Theme Color" to choose a color, "Dark Mode" for options, and "Widgets Settings" to manage widgets on the home page.
Power Manage
View battery saver options, including battery saver, auto sleep, and auto power off.
- Battery Saver Mode: Prolongs battery life but may reduce activity data accuracy. It changes GPS recording frequency and sensor data to save power.
Note: Close Battery Saver Mode and charge the device after each ride for better performance.
Motion Detection
Enable "Motion Detection" to receive reminders if you forget to record data.
Language
The device supports multiple languages. Select "System" > "Language" to choose your preferred language.
Display
- Select "System" > "Display" to view options.
- Select "Brightness" to toggle automatic backlight on/off. Auto backlight adjusts brightness based on ambient light. Manual adjustment is available when auto backlight is off.
- Select "Backlight Timeout" to set display timeout.
- Select "Night Bright" to turn on/off auto backlight for night riding, keeping the backlight on.
Sound
- Select "Key Tones" to turn on/off key tones.
- Select "Alerts" to turn on/off alerts.
GPS Mode
The device features a multi-star and multi-band satellite system for speed, distance, and elevation data. Select "System" > "GPS" to enter the GPS mode selection menu for different scenarios.
Time
- Select "System" > "Time" to view options.
- Select "Time Format" to change the time format.
- Select "Sync with APP Time" to calibrate time via the app.
- Select "Time Zone" to change the time zone.
- Select "Sync with GPS" to calibrate time via GPS.
Units
Customize units for distance, speed, elevation, temperature, and weight.
Touchscreen
Select "System" > "Touchscreen" to enable/disable the touchscreen and home shortcut.
Calibrate Settings
Select "System" > "Calibrate Setting" to access elevation and compass calibration menus.
Device Reset
- Select "System" > "Device Reset" to view options.
- Select "Reset" to restore default values and ride mode (history not deleted).
- Select "Delete and Reset" to restore default values and ride mode (history deleted).
Note: Resetting restores defaults, unpairs Bluetooth, and clears data. Enable auto-sync in the iGPSPORT APP to save personal data.
Device Restarting
If experiencing issues, restart the device by long-pressing the power button to turn it off, then pressing it again to restart. This will not delete settings or personal data.
iGPSPORT APP
The iGPSPORT APP allows device management, real-time activity data interpretation, training plan creation, navigation route planning, and communication with other riders.
User Profile
Accurate physique settings (weight, height, date of birth, gender) are crucial for measurement accuracy (heart rate limits, calorie consumption). You can also set maximum heart rate, resting heart rate, FTP, and training intervals.
Activity Data
The iGPSPORT APP provides access to past and planned riding activity data, training targets, activity overviews, detailed summary data, chart records, and real-time performance data.
Bike Computer Settings
Conveniently set device functions via the iGPSPORT APP, including data page configuration and auto options.
Activity Sharing
Share images and training data on social media (Facebook, Instagram). You can share existing photos, take new ones with training data, or share a snapshot of the training route with GPS records.
Common Wheel Size Settings
Setting the correct wheel size is essential for accurate riding information. Two methods are provided:
- Way 1 (Manual Measurement): Mark the air faucet's ground contact point. Draw a line at this point. Move the bike a full circle on a flat surface. Draw another line at the air faucet for a complete rotation. Measure the distance between the lines. Subtract 4mm for circumference.
- Way 2 (Diameter Lookup): Check the wheel diameter (inches or ETRTO) and match it to the millimeter size in the chart.
