01 Before You Start
This device is a smart finder utilizing Apple's Find My™ service. Paired with the "Find My" app on your Apple™ devices, it helps you quickly and securely locate personal items on Apple™ Map. Location information remains private, inaccessible even to Apple™.
1.1 Compatibility: This device exclusively supports Apple devices running iOS 14.5 or higher.
1.2 Recommended Software: For optimal use with the Apple "Find My" app, the latest versions of iOS, iPad OS, or Mac OS are recommended. The "Find Items" app on Apple Watch requires the latest version of watchOS.
1.3 Device Requirements: Ensure your Apple device has Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and Location services enabled and functioning correctly.
02 Getting Started
2.1 Power On: Press and hold the power button for 3 seconds to turn on the device.
2.2 Power Off: Press the power button twice rapidly. On the third press, hold it down continuously until you hear the power-off sound.
2.3 Check Device Status: Double-click the power button. A confirmation sound indicates the device is activated and operating normally.
2.4 Factory Resetting: Press the power button four times rapidly. On the fifth press, hold it down continuously until you hear the reset sound.
03 Adding This Device
3.1 Activate: Press the power button for approximately 3 seconds.
3.2 Launch App: Open the "Find My" app or "Find Items" app on your supported Apple device.
3.3 Add Item: Tap the "+" icon, then tap "Add Other Item" on your screen.
3.4 Connect: Once the device is located, tap "Connect".
3.5 Name Device: Enter a name and select an emoji icon for the device, then tap "Continue".
3.6 Confirm Addition: Find My will ask for confirmation to add the device to your Apple ID. Tap "Agree".
3.7 Finish Setup: Tap "Finish". The device is now set up and ready for use.
04 Locating This Device
4.1 Using the Find My App: Launch the "Find My" app or "Find Items" app on your supported Apple device and select the "Items" tab.
When Nearby: Tap the device from the list. Tap "Play Sound" to make the device beep. Tap "Stop Sound" once you find it.
When Far Away: Tap the device from the list. Its location will appear on the map with a timestamp. To navigate to the location, tap "Directions" to open Apple Map.
05 Notifications
5.1 Notify When Left Behind: In the "Find My" app, select the device, go to "Notifications", and enable the "Notify When Left Behind" toggle. You will receive an alert when you leave the device behind and it's out of range of your Apple device.
5.2 Notify When Found: Under "Notifications", enable the "Notify When Found" toggle. You will be notified of its location when it is detected by another Find My network device.
Note: "Notify When Found" can only be activated when the device is out of range.
06 When This Device Is Lost
6.1 Enabling Lost Mode: Launch the "Find My" app, select the "Items" tab, or open the "Find My Items" app on your Apple Watch. Tap the device, then under "Lost Mode", tap "Enable". Follow the prompts to enter your phone number or email address and an optional message. Tap "Activate" to enable Lost Mode.
Notes:
- When "Lost Mode" is enabled, "Notify When Found" is automatically activated.
- The device is locked and cannot be paired to a new device when "Lost Mode" is enabled.
07 Resetting This Device
7.1 Remove from Find My App: Launch the "Find My" app, select the "Items" tab, or open the "Find My Items" app on your Apple Watch. Tap the device. Ensure "Lost Mode" is disabled. Scroll down and tap "Remove Item", then confirm by tapping "Remove".
7.2 Factory Reset: After successfully removing the device from the "Find My" app, press the power button four times rapidly. On the fifth press, hold it down continuously until you hear a ringing chime.
08 Extras
8.1 Unwanted Tracking: If a Find My network accessory separated from its owner is detected moving with you over time, you will be notified. This occurs via a notification on your Apple device (iOS/iPad OS 14.5+) or by the accessory emitting a sound if you do not have an iOS device. These features are designed to prevent unauthorized tracking.
09 About Apple's Find My
The Apple Find My network offers a secure and convenient method for locating compatible personal items on a map via the Find My app on iPhone, iPad, or Mac. Pairing your item with the app allows you to view it alongside your Apple devices. In case of loss, "Lost Mode" can display a message and contact information. The Find My network is encrypted and anonymous, ensuring privacy.
The "Works with Apple" badge signifies that a product is designed for Apple technology and certified by the manufacturer to meet Apple Find My network specifications. Apple is not responsible for the operation, use, or compliance of this device with safety and regulatory standards.

10 The Fine Print

Battery Warning:

This Loshall anti-lost device may contain a coin cell battery. Keep batteries away from children. Do not ingest batteries. If ingested or placed inside the body, seek medical attention immediately. Ingestion can cause severe chemical burns in just two hours and result in serious injury or death. If the battery compartment does not close securely, stop using the device and keep it away from children.
The Loshall anti-lost device, its battery compartment door, battery, and case may present a choking hazard or cause other injury to children. Keep these items away from children.
