Installing the Stability Strap

  1. Align the stability strap attachment with the headset earcup slot.
  2. Insert the strap into the slot (indicated by an upward arrow).
  3. The stability strap is now installed on the headset.

Start a Shift - Wireless Headset

Instructions for starting a shift with the Honeywell SRX series wireless headset.

  1. Step 6: Select device

    Choose an available Honeywell A-series mobile device.

  2. Step 7: Power on SRX2

    Press and hold the power button (circular symbol) on the SRX2 headset until the indicator light is solid green.

  3. Step 8: Touch electronic module to device at [touch symbol]

    Bring the headset's electronic module near the mobile device's [touch symbol] to pair.

  4. Step 9: Put on headset and position microphone

    Wear the headset and position the microphone boom 1" (2 cm) from the corner of your mouth.

End a Shift - Wireless Headset

Instructions for ending a shift and storing the Honeywell SRX series wireless headset.

  1. Step 1: Power off device

    Press and hold the (Play/Pause icon) button until the LED turns red.

  2. Step 2: Slide device out of holster

    For A730: Pull device away along the clip. For A710 or A720: Open Velcro® and slide device out.

  3. Step 3: Insert into slot

    Insert device with controls facing out and Operator button on top.

  4. Step 4: Power off headset

    Ensure the headset is powered off.

  5. Step 5: Remove battery

    Squeeze battery release buttons to remove the battery.

  6. Step 6: Place in charger

    Place the headset or battery into the charger.

  7. Step 7: Remove belt

    Release the belt buckle.

Charging the Headset Battery

  1. Prepare the headset for charging.
  2. Connect the headset or battery to the charger.
  3. Place the headset or battery into the charging dock.
  4. Observe battery indicators: Green (full), Yellow (medium), Red (low). Place batteries into the multi-bay charger.
  5. Charging time is typically less than 4 hours (<4h). Dispose of old batteries responsibly.

Sharing the Headset

  1. Detach the device component.
  2. Detach the headset component.
  3. Connect headset components for shared use.
  4. Connect the headset to a device.
  5. Store the headset in a locker or designated area.
  6. Adjust the microphone boom.
