Maxwest NEO FLIP LTE User Manual
This manual provides instructions for using the Maxwest NEO FLIP LTE mobile phone.
Device Layout
The device features a flip design with a screen and a keypad. Key components include:
- Screen: Displays information and menus.
- Keypad: Used for typing and navigation.
- Navigation Buttons: Up, Down, Left, Right, and OK/Confirm.
- Soft Keys: Left and Right soft keys for menu options.
- Call Button: To make or answer calls.
- End/Power Button: To end calls or power the device on/off.
- SOS Button: For emergency calls.
Basic Operations
Turning the Device ON/OFF
Press and hold the Power Button (●) to turn the device on or off. You may need to enter an unlock PIN.
Unlocking the Device
Press the Left Soft Key (–), then the Star key (*).
Making or Answering a Call
To make a call, navigate to the Home Screen, enter the number, and press the Call Button (●). To answer an incoming call, press the Call Button (●). To reject a call, press the Cancel Button (●).
Calling Options
During a call, you can:
- Enter Speaker Mode by pressing the Confirm Button (●).
- Adjust volume levels using the Navigation Buttons.
- End the call by pressing the Cancel Button (●).
- Access more options (Add new call, Hold call, Record call, Mute Call, use contacts, call log, or open messages) by pressing the Left Soft Key (–) and selecting 'Menu'.
Messaging
Sending Text/Multimedia Messages
Navigate to the Message Application via Menu (Left Soft Key) and select 'Write message'. Choose SMS for text messages or MMS for multimedia messages.
- For SMS: Enter the recipient's phone number and type your message. Select Options and then Send.
- For MMS: Enter the recipient's phone number and desired information (Subject, Text, Image, Video, Audio). Select Options and then Send.
Viewing Messages
- Inbox: View received messages.
- Outbox: View sent messages.
- Draft: View saved draft messages.
- Sent: View messages that have been sent.
Contacts
Access your contacts via Home Screen > Contacts (–).
Adding a New Contact
- Select Options (Left Soft Key) > New.
- Insert a profile picture, Name, Mobile number, Home number, add to a group, or set the ringtone.
- Select Save (Left Soft Key).
Adding a Number to Speed Dial
- Select Options (Left Soft Key) > Others > Speed dial.
- Select the desired number slot.
- Input the phone number.
- Select OK.
Importing/Exporting Contacts
Contacts must be in .vcf format. Select Options (Left Soft Key) > Import/Export and choose the desired action.
Settings
Phone Settings
Navigate to Home Screen > Menu > Settings > Phone Settings.
- Time & Date: Set time, date, and change formats.
- Language: Change the device language (English, French, Spanish, Portuguese).
- Home Screen Shortcuts: Assign shortcuts to different applications.
- Auto Power On/Off: Set the device to power on/off automatically at set times.
- Battery Percentage: Display battery percentage.
- Erase All Data: Erase all data on the device (password: 0003).
Display Settings
Navigate to Home Screen > Menu > Settings > Display Settings.
Adjust wallpaper, brightness, screen timeout, keypad lock time, and screen saver settings.
Audio Profiles
Navigate to Home Screen > Menu > Settings > Profiles.
Customize audio settings for different profiles (General, Silent, Meeting, Indoor, Outdoor). You can edit ringtones, volume levels, and ring types.
SOS Settings
The SOS functionality allows you to set emergency numbers that will receive a custom text message and be automatically called in an emergency. Numbers must be set by the user. SOS functionality can be turned on/off.

SAR Information Statement
Your wireless phone is a radio transmitter and receiver designed not to exceed emission limits for exposure to radiofrequency (RF) energy. The Specific Absorption Rate (SAR) limit set by the FCC is 1.6 W/kg.
Tests for SAR are conducted with the phone transmitting at its highest certified power level. The actual SAR level while operating can be well below the maximum value. The highest SAR value for this model phone when tested for use at the ear is 0.552W/Kg and when worn on the body is 0.834W/Kg. The maximum scaled SAR in hotspot mode is 0.834W/Kg.
Body-worn Operation: To comply with RF exposure requirements, a minimum separation distance of 10mm must be maintained between the user’s body and the handset, including the antenna. Use only the supplied or an approved antenna.
