Application
Provides safe soldering for temperature-sensitive components such as QFP, PLCC, BGA (especially applicable to mobile phone cables and board-level soldering). The product is designed for drying, separating, defrosting, heating, and plastic soldering.
Operation
Soldering Iron
- Choose a workspace, connect the soldering iron, and place it on its stand. Do not leave the tool powered on if not in use; the product has a protection function.
- Turn on the product. The display will show "---" and enter standby mode.
- Set the temperature and pick up the soldering iron; the station will enter preheating mode. Adjust the airflow.
- If the device is not in use, place it on its stand, and it will automatically begin to cool down. When the temperature drops below 100 ºC, the display will show "---", indicating standby mode. When the temperature is below 70ºC, the device detects standby mode and stops operation.
Metal Tip
- Connect the soldering iron and place it on the stand.
- Turn on the base. When the indicator light on the display flashes, the temperature on the metal tip is stable and ready for use.
Precautions
It is very important to pay attention to the warnings and recommendations in this manual for using the device, especially when configuring temperature and airflow.
- Ensure the product is not connected to power strips, as this may damage the thermal unit's protection. (Heat lamp, turn off the unit).
- After using the device, do not unplug it while the cooling process is initiated.
- When powered on, the hot air temperature at the tip varies from 100ºC to 450ºC (212 ºF to 842 ºF).
To Avoid Damage to People or Work Tools
- Observe the following: Do not direct hot air directly at people or touch metal parts near the tip. Do not use the product near flammable gases or materials. Inform people in the work area that the product reaches very high temperatures.
- This is considered a potentially dangerous device. Turn it off when not in use or when left unattended. Before changing parts or storing the unit, allow it to cool down.
Temperature Configuration
- The LED display shows information on the workstation. Rotate the knob to select the desired temperature, observing it on the screen.
- On-screen information: Adjust using the following buttons [up arrow] [down arrow]. The temperature will increase by 1ºC. If you press the opposite button [down arrow], the temperature will decrease by 1ºC. Holding the button down will increase or decrease the temperature more rapidly. Release the button, and the display will show the selected temperature after 2 seconds, the current temperature, or "---".
Airflow Configuration
Rotate the airflow knob to the desired position. Adjust using "ENTER"; the temperature will appear blinking on the display. You can use the knob to adjust the value up and down. If you press "ENTER" again, you will configure the next value; finally, the changes will be saved automatically.
Example Workflow:
- Display shows 350. Press ENTER. Display shows 350. (Adjust knob)
- Display shows 450. Press ENTER. Display shows 450. (Adjust knob)
- Display shows 400. Press ENTER again. Display shows 400.
- If the tip cools down. Press ENTER to automatically adjust the temperature. (Iron display shows 200)
Notes
- A. If the temperature is below 100ºC, the device enters standby mode. In this case, it is recommended to place the soldering iron on its stand.
- B. If the display shows "SE", it means the station's sensor has an issue and needs replacement (heat sensor for materials and components).
- C. If the display shows "SA", it means the memory has a problem and needs to be replaced.
- D. When the station detects a temperature below 50ºC, it stops increasing the temperature. This indicates that the heating element may be damaged. In such cases, replacement is necessary (it could be the heat sensor or other components).
Utility Information
Soldering Iron:
- When turning on the product, place it on the stand.
- Do not turn off the power button. It is recommended to wait for the device to cool down on its own before turning it off.
- Avoid prolonged use in environments with high temperatures.
- Place the soldering iron on its stand; this will activate automatic detection.
Metal Tip:
- When you start using it, pay attention to the heating of the metal tip.
- Avoid very high temperatures, as they can damage the metal heating function. When not in use, the temperature lowers.
- Use a sponge to clean the metal tip. Apply tinning to prevent oxidation.
Soldering Iron and Resistance Replacement
Soldering Iron:
- Loosen the handle screws.
- Rotate the handle accessories and then remove them from the casing.
- Gently remove the soldering iron, remove the screws from the cable panel.
- Pay attention to the connection position when performing the replacement.
Metal Tip:
- Remove screw 1.
- If you need to replace the resistance, remove screw 4.
Attention:
- When replacing the heat resistance, avoid damaging the cables.
- Pay attention when replacing it.
