Product Information
Product Type: Over-the-Head Earmuff
Mass of Earmuff: 330.0 ± 3g
Fitting Instructions
This model of earmuff is designed to be worn over the head. When worn correctly, the headband should rest on top of your head.
Diagram A: Illustrates pulling the earcups outward.
Diagram B: Shows adjusting the height of each earcup on both sides while holding the headband down to achieve a tight and comfortable fit.
Diagram C: Depicts the headband sitting straight on the head.
Instructions:
- Pull the cups outward and place over your ears so that the cushions fully enclose the ears and seal tightly against the head.
- Adjust the height of each cup on both sides while holding the headband down until you have a tight and comfortable fit.
- Ensure the headband sits straight on the head.
Cleaning, Maintenance & Storage
- Cushions should be wiped clean after each use.
- Cushions and foam pads should be cleaned with mild soap and water or alcohol swabs and allowed to air dry.
- It is recommended to check cushions and foam pads at frequent intervals for cracking and leakage, as these may deteriorate with use. Replace ear muffs as and when necessary.
- Store in a cool, dry place in the included container. Do not leave in direct sunlight.
Note: This product may be adversely affected by certain chemical substances. Further information should be sought from the manufacturer.
Notes and Warnings
Noise reduction will be adversely affected by anything that impairs the seal of the earmuff cushions against the head, such as thick spectacle frames, balaclavas, etc.
Cushions may deteriorate with use and should be renewed regularly.
Important: The reported attenuation of the protector will only be obtained if it is in good condition and is fitted as directed.

SNRm: 34.5dB (Hm = 37.4dB, Mm = 33.2dB, Lm = 24.2dB)
SNRs: 1.6dB (Hs = 2.0dB, Ms = 1.7dB, Ls = 1.5dB)
Warnings and Guidance
- These ear-muffs are available in Medium, Small, and Large size ranges. Ear-muffs complying with EN352-1 are typically categorized by size. Medium size range ear-muffs fit the majority of wearers. Small and Large size range ear-muffs are designed for users for whom medium size range ear-muffs are not suitable.
- The fitting of hygiene covers to the cushions may affect the acoustic performance of the ear-muffs.
- The ear-muffs should be worn at all times in noisy surroundings.
Reference should be made to PPE Regulation (EU) 2016/425 for guidance to ensure the correct selection and use of protectors.
Example Calculation
- The environmental noise level as measured at the ear is 92 dB.
- The SNR is 24 decibels (dB).
- The level of noise entering the ear is approximately equal to 68 dB. The level of noise entering a person's ear, when a hearing protector is worn as directed, is closely approximated by the difference between the A-weighted environmental noise level and the SNR.
