VIDEX U101 Universal Battery Charger

1. General Description

The VIDEX U101 charger is designed for multiple battery charging. The product meets European and national requirements for electromagnetic compatibility (EMC).

2. Technical Description

The product is intended for charging lithium-ion, nickel-cadmium, and nickel-metal hydride batteries. The charging current is automatically selected based on the battery type. The device is equipped with an LED indicator for status indication.

The charger features a cylindrical design with a slot for battery insertion. A power input port (DC 5V) is located on the top, alongside an LED indicator. The battery compartment has a spring-loaded mechanism for secure fitting.

4. Device Usage Instructions

Operating Conditions:

• Humidity: 35% - 95%
• Atmospheric Pressure: 70 - 106 mm Hg

Storage Conditions:

• Temperature: 0°C - 40°C
• Humidity: 45% - 80%

4.1 Preparation for Use

Ensure the device casing is free from mechanical damage. Do not use the device immediately after a sudden temperature change. To prevent damage caused by condensation, leave the device in the room for 5 hours.

4.2 Battery Placement

Place a compatible battery into the charger, observing the polarity markings. ? Ensure correct polarity (+/-).

4.3 Connecting to Power

Using the supplied cable, connect the charger to a compatible adapter or USB port (5V/1A). The LED indicators will light up red and green. After a two-second test interval, the charger will enter charging mode. The LED indicator on the casing will turn red during charging.

4.4 Battery Charging

The time required for full battery charging depends on its capacity. The charging current is automatically selected based on the battery size and is shown in the table below.

When the battery is fully charged, the LED indicator will glow green until the battery is removed. After charging is complete, disconnect the charger and remove the battery.

4.5 Battery Fault or Incompatibility Indicator

The charger has built-in protection against short circuits, battery faults, incompatibility, or incorrect polarity. If a damaged battery or incorrect polarity is detected, the LED indicator will flash red. ❌

5. Safety Precautions

• Only compatible batteries are allowed. Installing incompatible, damaged, or non-battery power sources may lead to damage to the device or property. There is a risk of explosion.
• If the casing is damaged or the device is used improperly, there is a risk of electric shock.
• The device should only be used indoors, in accordance with the above conditions. Do not use the device in excessively humid conditions.
• Do not disassemble or modify the device.
• Avoid mechanical damage or dropping the device.
• Use of the device by children is permitted only under adult supervision.

6. Technical Maintenance

The product does not require maintenance. The charger should be periodically cleaned of dust. During cleaning, the device must be disconnected from the power source. Use only a dry, soft cloth to clean the charger casing. Do not use abrasive cleaners or liquids.

7. Transport and Storage

The product should be stored and transported in the manufacturer's packaging. The device should be stored in a clean, dry, ventilated room at a temperature between 0°C and 40°C.

8. Disposal

The product does not contain harmful substances. To prevent environmental damage, separate the product from household waste and dispose of it in the safest way possible, for example, by taking it to specialized collection points. Used batteries should also be disposed of separately. Used batteries or accumulators can be returned at any collection point in your place of residence.

9. Warranty

The warranty period for the device is 12 months from the date of sale. Damaged devices can be returned or exchanged, except in the following cases:

• Lack of packaging or sales receipt.
• Damage resulting from improper use of the device (use of incompatible power sources, signs of short circuits, etc.).
• Signs of repair or casing opening.
• Violation of operating conditions (especially mechanical or thermal damage, cracks, or other signs of mechanical influence, deformed contact terminals, etc.).
• Damage caused by foreign substances or liquids entering the device.
