Important Tips

How to use

• Ensure the power switch is on before use. Clear obstacles from the cleaning area.
• The robot cleans areas multiple times for thoroughness.
• Side brushes may flick small granules (like pet food or litter), but the robot will vacuum them.
• When replacing side brushes, match "L" and "R" marks on both the brush and the robot's bottom.
• Clock time and schedule settings are confirmed by a robot beep. No beep means unsuccessful setting.
• Empty the dustbin regularly. A full dustbin reduces vacuuming efficiency and may cause spitting out debris, without a warning beep.

For best performance

• Empty the V5s Plus's dustbin and clean its filter after every use.
• The filter cannot be washed with water.
• Replace the filter when vacuuming power weakens.
• Place the charging dock against a wall, ensuring about 1 meter of clear space on both sides and 2 meters forward.
• Fully charge the robot's battery before each cleaning cycle.

Battery life

To extend battery life and maintain peak cleaning performance:

• Charge the robot overnight before its first use.
• Turn off the power switch if the robot will not be used for a long time.
• Recharge the robot as soon as possible after use. Waiting several days to recharge may damage the battery.
• Use the robot frequently.

Robot anatomy

The ILIFE V5s Plus robotic vacuum cleaner has several key components:

• Top View:
  • Bumper: Front protective edge.
  • WiFi indicator: Light indicating WiFi status.
  • CLEAN button: Main control button.
  • Middle cover: Top access panel.
  • PUSH button: Button to open the middle cover.
• Bottom View:
  • Cliff sensors: Detect drops to prevent falling.
  • Charging pins: Connect to the charging dock.
  • Left side brush: Sweeps debris into the cleaning path.
  • Battery cover: Protects the battery compartment.
  • Left wheel: Drives the robot.
  • Nose wheel: Front directional wheel.
  • Right side brush: Sweeps debris into the cleaning path.
  • Suck passage: Where debris is vacuumed.
  • Right wheel: Drives the robot.
  • Bottom cover: Base of the robot.
• Dustbin and Power Switch Location:
  • The middle cover opens to reveal the Dustbin.
  • The Power switch is located near the dustbin.

Dustbin

The dustbin assembly consists of:

• Primary filter: Initial filter layer.
• Dustbin: Main compartment for collected debris.
• High performance filter: Finer filtration layer.
• Filter frame: Holds the filters in place.

Charging dock

The charging dock features:

• Signal light: Indicates charging status.
• Charging pins: Connect with the robot's charging pins.
• Power supply socket: Where the AC adapter plugs in.

Water tank

The water tank for wet mopping includes:

• Rubber plug: Seals the water input hole.
• Handle: For easy carrying and insertion.
• Weep hole: Allows water to dispense.
• Water input hole: Where water is poured in.
• The Mop cloth attaches to the bottom of the water tank assembly.

Remote control

The remote control features a display screen and various buttons for operating the robot.

• Display Screen: Shows current time (00:00) and scheduled time (00:00).
• Directional Buttons: Up (▲), Down (▼), Left (◄), Right (►) for navigation and setting adjustments.
• Clock Button (⏰): Enters clock mode.
• Spot Mode Button (◎): Initiates spot cleaning.
• Home (Auto Charge) Button (?): Sends the robot back to the charging dock.
• Start/Pause Button (▶‖): Starts or pauses cleaning.
• Schedule Button (?): Enters scheduling mode.
• MAX Mode Button (MAX): Maximizes vacuuming power.
• Edge Mode/Classic Mode Button (⌂): Initiates edge cleaning or classic mode.

CLEAN button status

Remote control operating

1. "▶‖" Starting up/Pause button:
   • Press to start cleaning in selected mode.
   • Press to stop the robot when it's cleaning.
   • Press to switch from sleeping mode to selected mode.
2. Directional buttons:
   • "▲" button:
     • Increases number in scheduling or clock mode.
     • Makes the robot move forward in selected mode; robot stops upon hitting objects.
   • "▼" button:
     • Decreases number in scheduling or clock mode.
   • "◄" button:
     • Exchanges from minute to hour in scheduling or clock mode.
     • Makes the robot turn left.
   • "►" button:
     • Exchanges from hour to minute in scheduling or clock mode.
     • Makes the robot turn right.
3. "?" Plan button:
   • Enters scheduling mode when in selected or charging mode.
   • Confirms scheduling in scheduling mode.
4. "⏰" Clock button:
   • Enters clock mode when in selected or charging mode.
   • Confirms clock setting in clock mode.
5. "?" Auto charge button:
   • When robot is in selected or cleaning mode, press this button to return the robot to the charging dock.
6. "⌂" Edge button:
   • Press this button to make the robot clean along walls.
7. "◎" Spot button:
   • Press this button to make the robot start spot cleaning.
8. "MAX" Max button:
   • Maximizes vacuuming power.
9. "00:00" (top display): Shows the scheduling time.
10. "00:00" (bottom display): Shows the clock time.

Notice for Use

How to get started

1. Place charging dock: Plug in the adapter. The signal light on the charging dock will turn solid.

   Note: Place the charging dock against a wall and remove obstacles about 1 meter on both sides and 2 meters forward.

2. Turn on the power switch: Turn on the power switch located near the power socket. The display panel will flash. (If no command is received, the robot will enter sleeping mode after 15 seconds.)

   Note:

   A. Always keep the power switch on for the robot to work.

   B. If the power switch is turned off, all scheduling will be lost.

   Caution: Before charging the robot, ensure the power switch is turned on, otherwise the robot cannot be charged.

Charge the robot

Charge the robot in either of two ways:

1. Plug the robot directly into an outlet.
2. Press the "?" button on the remote control to make the robot return to the charging dock for self-charging.

For better extending battery life:

• Before first use, charge the robot overnight. The display panel will turn off when charging is finished.
• In normal use, always store the robot on the charging dock with the base plugged in.
• If the robot is not used for a long time, turn the power switch off, fully charge the robot, and store it in a cool, dry place.

Auto charging

The robot will automatically return to the charging dock when its battery is low.

Starting up/Pause/Sleeping

• Sleeping mode: Robot is not working, lights around the CLEAN button are off, and the power switch is on.
• Selected mode: Robot is not working, lights around the CLEAN button flash.
• Cleaning mode: Robot is working, lights around the CLEAN button are on. (Refer to the CLEAN button status table on page 11 for details.)

1. Starting up

A. Make sure the power switch is on.

B. Press the CLEAN button on the main body or on the remote control to start cleaning.

2. Pause

Press the CLEAN button on the main body or on the remote control to switch the robot from cleaning mode to selected mode.

3. Sleeping

To turn the robot into sleeping mode from selected mode:

A. Keep pressing CLEAN on the main body for 3 seconds.

B. The robot will automatically enter sleeping mode if no command is received for 15 seconds.

Scheduling

Users can schedule the robot to start cleaning at a specific time.

Setting the clock time

1. Point the remote control towards the robot (ensure the power switch is on).
2. Press the "⏰" button and use directional buttons to set the correct time.
3. Press the "⏰" button again to save the setting. To cancel the schedule, turn off the robot.

Setting a schedule

The robot will always work at the scheduled time unless its power switch is turned off.

1. Point the remote towards the robot.
2. Press the "?" button and then use directional buttons to set the schedule.
3. Press the "?" button again to save the setting. To cancel the schedule, turn off the robot.

Cleaning mode

1. Auto cleaning

The robot automatically cleans a room and adjusts its cleaning based on the situation.

2. Spot cleaning

A. When the robot is working, press the "◎" button on the remote towards the robot. The robot will circle around and then enter auto clean mode after spot cleaning is finished.

B. When the robot is in selected mode, press the "◎" button on the remote towards the robot. The robot will begin to circle around and then return to selected mode after spot cleaning is finished.

3. Edge cleaning

Place the robot near the edge (wall) and press the "⌂" button on the remote control to start edge cleaning.

Wet mopping

1. The dustbin is for dry cleaning, and the water tank is for wet cleaning.
2. The mop bracket with the mop should be on the robot when the water tank is used. (This setup involves attaching the mop cloth to the mop bracket, which then attaches to the robot, allowing the water tank to be inserted.)
3. Pour clean water into the water tank. (This involves opening the rubber plug on the water tank and filling it with water.)
4. Open the robot lid and put the water tank into the body. The weep hole of the water tank should be aligned with the weep hole on the robot body. (This ensures proper water dispensing.)
5. Close the robot lid, then press the CLEAN button to start wet cleaning. Note that there is no vacuum suction function during wet cleaning.
6. It is suggested to perform dry cleaning (suction) before wet cleaning for better results.
7. Water in the water tank flows out automatically. Therefore, it is prohibited to leave the water tank inside or outside the robot when there is still water in the tank, as this will cause water logging on the floor.
8. Remove the water tank when charging the robot vacuum cleaner.

APP Download

The robot can be controlled by the “ILIFEHOME” app. Users can download the app by searching for "ILIFEHOME Global" on their iOS or Android device's app store.

Maintenance

Cleaning side brushes

Clean the side brushes when they get dirty and replace them if damaged.

Cleaning dustbin and filter

Clean and empty the dustbin after each use. Steps are as follows:

1. After removing the dustbin, check for foreign matter stuck in the suction passage and clean it.
2. Clean the filter after 15-30 days of use. Replace it after a maximum of 6 months.
3. Install both the high performance filter and primary filters when they are dry.
4. The filter and primary filter can be replaced if needed.

Nose wheel clean up

If foreign matter is present in the nose wheel, it will affect cleaning performance. Clean it as follows:

1. Pull the wheel up vertically and clean it. Check if the gasket is off.
2. Ensure the gasket is properly installed after cleaning the nose wheel.
