1. Choose an Installation Method
You can install the sound bar on a shelf or stand, or mount it on a wall. For wall-mounting details, refer to the separate Operating Instructions.
Important Notes:
- Before connecting the speaker system, disconnect the AC power cord of the TV from the AC outlet. Reconnect it in step 4.
- Avoid placing metal objects near the speaker system, as this may cause wireless functions to become unstable.
2. Connect with a TV
Check your TV's HDMI IN jack: Does it have a label for "eARC" or "ARC"?
If YES:
- Connect the supplied HDMI cable from the HDMI OUT jack on the speaker system to the HDMI IN jack on your TV.
- If your TV has an S-CENTER SPEAKER IN jack, connect it to the S-CENTER OUT jack on the speaker system using the supplied TV center speaker mode cable.
If NO:
- If your TV does not have an HDMI IN jack labeled "eARC" or "ARC," use an optical digital cable (not supplied) to connect an optical out jack on your TV to the TV IN (OPT) jack on the speaker system.
Important: If the TV and speaker system are connected only using the HDMI cable and your TV does not have the specified HDMI IN jack, there will be no TV sound output from the speaker system.
Connection Tips:
- Ensure all connectors are firmly inserted.
- When inserting connectors, align them with the jacks correctly to avoid damage.
- If you select "YES" for the HDMI connection type, ensure the "Control for HDMI" function is enabled on your TV for sound output.
3. Set up the Remote Control
Insert the supplied batteries into the remote control.
4. Turn on the TV and Speaker System
- Connect the AC power cord (mains lead) to the AC outlet (mains) for both the TV and the speaker system.
- The remote control for the speaker system may not function until the "HELLO" message on the speaker system's front panel display disappears.
- After "HELLO" disappears, press the HOME button on the speaker system's remote control.
- Wait for "PLEASE WAIT" to disappear from the front panel display, followed by the next indication.
5. Perform Initial Settings
Follow the on-screen instructions displayed on your TV to complete the initial setup. Use the navigation buttons (▲/▼/◀/▶) and the ENTER button on the remote control.
- If the initial setting screen does not appear, use your TV's remote control to switch the TV input to the HDMI input connected to the speaker system. Then, press HOME on the speaker system's remote control.
- If you are using optional subwoofer or rear speakers, connect them according to the instructions on the "Checking Wireless Speaker Connection" screen.
- Once "Setup is complete." appears, you can select "Learn more" for additional information.
6. Listen to TV Audio
To listen to the audio from your TV through the sound bar:
- Use your TV's remote control to select the desired TV input. The screen will switch to the selected input, and TV audio will play through the speaker system.
- If "[TV]" does not appear on the speaker system's front panel display, press the TV button on the speaker system's remote control to select the TV input. "[TV]" should then appear.
Note on Power-On Order: If the speaker system displays "[MUTING]", it may be due to the power-on sequence. Try turning on the TV first, then the speaker system.
