Precautions
On safety
- If liquid or solid objects fall into the Sound Bar, unplug it and have it checked by qualified personnel before further operation.
- Do not climb on the Sound Bar to avoid injury or damage.
On power sources
- Check that the operating voltage matches your local supply (indicated on the nameplate).
- Disconnect from the wall outlet if not using for a long time. Grasp the plug, not the cord, to disconnect.
- The plug has one wider blade for safety and fits only one way into the outlet. Contact your dealer if it doesn't fit fully.
- AC power cords must be replaced only at a qualified service shop.
On heat buildup
The Sound Bar may heat up during operation; this is normal. High volume use can cause considerable temperature rise at the rear and bottom. Avoid touching to prevent burns.
On placement
- Place in a location with adequate ventilation to prevent heat buildup and prolong life.
- Avoid placing near heat sources, direct sunlight, dust, or mechanical shock.
- Do not place objects on top of the Bar Speaker.
- If used with a TV, VCR, or tape deck, noise or picture quality issues may occur. Place the Sound Bar away from these devices.
- Use caution on surfaces treated with wax, oil, or polish, as staining may occur.
- Be careful of the corners to avoid injury.
On operation
Turn off and unplug the Sound Bar before connecting other equipment.
If you encounter color irregularity on a nearby TV screen
- If color irregularity is observed: Turn off the TV, then turn it on again after 15-30 minutes.
- If it occurs again: Place the Sound Bar further away from the TV.
On cleaning
Clean with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use abrasive pads, scouring powder, or solvents like alcohol or benzine.
Consult your nearest Sony dealer for any questions or problems.
