Corning LSZHTM loose tube gel-free cables are flame-retardant, indoor/outdoor, suitable for installation in interbuilding and intrabuilding applications. The loose tube design offers mechanical ruggedness and environmental durability, while the all-dielectric cable construction requires no grounding or bonding. The water-swellable yarn eliminates the need for gel-filling compound, allowing for more efficient and craft-friendly cable preparation. The 250 µm color-coded fibers enable quick and easy identification during installation. Corning LSZH cables mitigate risks in the event of a fire, as the LSZH compound does not drip when superheated and the material burns to ash, preventing the onset of secondary fires. Unlike cables containing halogens, which emit harmful reactive gases and acids when ignited, LSZH cables offer a safer alternative.
The flexible, flame-retardant outer jacket is UV-resistant and suitable for direct sunlight exposure. Interlocking armor is available for applications requiring additional mechanical durability.

Cable Construction
The cable's internal structure features a dielectric central element. It contains buffer tubes, each housing 12 color-coded fibers. Water-swellable tapes and filling elements are integrated to prevent water ingress. The cable is protected by a flame-retardant tape and a UV-resistant, flame-retardant LSZH outer jacket. Ripcords are included to facilitate easier jacket removal.
