Important Information
National guidelines concerning official approval of auxiliaries must be observed.
Any modifications or alterations to the tow bar are prohibited and will void the operating license.
Remove insulating compound and underbody coating from the vehicle in the area around the trailer hitch contact surface, if present.
The trailer hitch is intended for towing trailers and for attaching load carriers. Any other use is prohibited.
Parking System Compatibility: Vehicles equipped with an acoustic parking system may experience malfunctions after mounting the trailer hitch if parts (e.g., ball bar, coupling ball) are within the sensor range. Adjust the sensing range or disable the parking system if necessary. For trailer hitches with removable or pivoting ball tow bars, the parking system should function normally when the ball tow bar is not in the operating position.
The trailer hitch is a safety-critical part and must only be fitted by qualified companies. Improper assembly may result in a serious accident hazard!

According to European Directive 94/20, the maximum towing capacity of the tow bar is determined by the test value "D", defined as:
D = (T x C) / (T + C) x 0.00981 = ...kN
Where:
- T = Maximum permissible mass of the towing vehicle (in kg)
- C = Maximum permissible mass of the towed vehicle (in kg)
Installation Steps
Refer to the diagrams for detailed installation steps. Ensure all parts are correctly aligned and secured.
- Preparation: Remove the bumper as shown in Diagram 1. Disconnect any electrical wiring or sensors related to the bumper.
- Mounting Brackets: Attach the main tow bar structure (1) to the vehicle's chassis using the provided hardware (refer to diagrams for specific bolts and torque settings).
- Electrical Connection: Connect the trailer's electrical socket to the vehicle's wiring harness.
- Ball Mount: Attach the ball mount (4) to the tow bar structure using the specified bolts (M12x65) and torque (95 Nm), as shown in Diagram 11.
- Bumper Modification (if required): For Lancia Ypsilon (9.1) and Fiat Panda (9.2), specific bumper cutouts are indicated with dimensions (e.g., 205mm, 175mm/75mm, 60mm).
- Final Assembly: Reinstall the bumper and any removed components. Ensure all connections are secure.
Torque Specifications:
- M8 bolts: 10 Nm (Diagram 4)
- M10x30 bolts ("a"): 40 Nm (Diagram 5)
- M10x30 bolts ("c"): 40 Nm (Diagram 6)
- M8 bolts ("b"): 25 Nm (Diagram 7)

Maintenance:
- Periodically check all bolts for tightness.
- Ensure the ball and coupling are clean and lubricated.
- Inspect the tow bar for any signs of damage or wear.
- Refer to the vehicle's manual for specific maintenance intervals.
Clearance Requirements
Ensure the free space according to Appendix 7, figures 25a and 25b of the ECE-R 55 directive is guaranteed. This includes specific angle and distance requirements for clearance around the tow bar, especially concerning the vehicle's bodywork and exhaust system.
Clearance Diagram Notes:
- Freiraum (Free Space) requirements are detailed with angles (e.g., max. 30°, max. 45°, 65°) and distances (e.g., min. 55, min. 140, max. 250).
- Vertical plane through the endpoints of the total length of the vehicle is indicated.
- Clearance must be maintained relative to the vehicle's permissible gross weight.
