Operation
1. Wiring
Ensure all wiring is done correctly according to the connection diagrams provided.
2. Device Functionality
This ZigBee device is a wireless receiver that communicates with and is controlled by compatible ZigBee systems via wireless radio signals.
3. Zigbee Network Pairing (with Coordinator or Hub)
Step 1: Remove the device from any previous ZigBee network if it has already been added, to prevent pairing failure. Refer to the "Factory Reset Manually" section.
Step 2: From your ZigBee Controller or hub interface, select the option to add a lighting device and enter Pairing mode as instructed by the controller.
Step 3: Re-power the device to set it into network pairing mode. The connected light will flash twice slowly. There is a 15-second timeout; repeat the operation if necessary.
Step 4: The connected light will blink 5 times and then stay solid. The device will then appear in your controller's menu and can be controlled through the controller or hub interface.
4. TouchLink to a Zigbee Remote
Step 1: Method 1: Short press the 'Reset' button 4 times (or re-power the device 4 times) to start TouchLink commissioning immediately. This has a 180-second timeout. Repeat if necessary. Method 2: Re-power the device. TouchLink commissioning will start after 15 seconds if the device is not added to a ZigBee network (165-second timeout), or start immediately if it is already added to a network (180-second timeout). Repeat if timeout occurs.
Step 2: Bring the remote or touch panel within 10cm of the lighting device.
Step 3: Set the remote or touch panel into TouchLink commissioning mode, following its corresponding manual.
Step 4: Successful linking will be indicated on the remote, and the connected light will flash twice.
Notes:
- Direct TouchLink (when neither device is in a ZigBee network) allows each device to link with 1 remote.
- TouchLink after both devices are added to a ZigBee network allows each device to link with a maximum of 30 remotes.
- For Hue Bridge & Amazon Echo Plus, add the remote and device to the network first, then perform TouchLink.
- After TouchLink, the device can be controlled by the linked remotes.
5. Removal from a Zigbee Network
Using your ZigBee controller or hub interface, choose to delete or reset the lighting device as instructed. The connected light will blink 3 times to indicate successful removal.
6. Factory Reset Manually
Note: If the device is already at factory default setting, there will be no indication when factory reset is performed again. All configuration parameters will be reset after the device is reset or removed from the network.
Step 1: Short press the 'Reset' key 5 times continuously. Alternatively, re-power the device 5 times continuously if the 'Prog.' key is not accessible.
Step 2: The connected light will blink 3 times to indicate successful reset.
7. Factory Reset via Zigbee Remote (Touch Reset)
Note: Ensure the device is already added to a network, and the remote is added to the same network or not added to any network.
Step 1: Re-power the device to start TouchLink Commissioning. This has a 180-second timeout. Repeat the operation if necessary.
Step 2: Bring the remote or touch panel within 10cm of the lighting device.
Step 3: Set the remote or touch panel into the Touch Reset procedure, following its corresponding manual.
Step 4: Successful reset will be indicated on the remote, and the connected light flashes 3 times.
8. Find and Bind Mode
Note: Ensure the device and remote are already added to the same ZigBee network.
Step 1: Short press the 'Reset' button 3 times (or re-power the device 3 times) to start Find and Bind mode. The connected light flashes slowly. This mode searches for and binds target nodes, with a 180-second timeout. Repeat if necessary.
Step 2: Set the remote or touch panel (target node) into find and bind mode, following its corresponding manual.
Step 3: Successful binding will be indicated on the remote or touch panel, allowing it to control the device.
9. Learning to a Zigbee Green Power Remote
Step 1: Short press the 'Reset' button 4 times (or re-power the device 4 times) to start Learning mode. The connected light flashes twice. This has a 180-second timeout. Repeat if necessary.
Step 2: Set the Green Power remote into Learning mode, following its manual.
Step 3: Successful learning is indicated by the connected light flashing twice. The remote can now control the device.
Note: Each device can learn to a maximum of 20 Zigbee Green Power remotes.
10. Delete Learning to a Zigbee Green Power Remote
Step 1: Short press the 'Reset' button 3 times (or re-power the device 3 times) to start delete Learning mode. The connected light flashes slowly. This has a 180-second timeout. Repeat if necessary.
Step 2: Set the paired Green Power remote into Learning mode, following its manual.
Step 3: Successful deletion is indicated by the connected light flashing 4 times.
11. Setup a Zigbee Network (No Coordinator Required)
Step 1: Short press the 'Reset' button 4 times (or re-power the device 4 times) to enable the device to set up a ZigBee network. The connected light flashes twice. This has a 180-second timeout. Repeat if necessary.
Step 2: Set another device or remote or touch panel into network pairing mode and pair it to the network, following its manual.
Step 3: Pair additional devices and remotes to the network as desired, following their manuals.
Step 4: Bind the added devices and remotes through TouchLink so that the devices can be controlled by the remotes, following their manuals.
Notes:
- Each added device can link and be controlled by a maximum of 30 added remotes.
- Each added remote can link and control a maximum of 30 added devices.
12. OTA (Over-The-Air) Updates
The device supports firmware updating through OTA. It will automatically acquire new firmware from the ZigBee controller or hub every 10 minutes.
13. Setting Minimum Brightness
Adjust the brightness to a desired level using the ZigBee hub, controller interface, or a remote. Then, press and hold the 'Min.Set' key until the connected light flashes. This successfully sets the minimum dimming level. The connected load can then only be dimmed between this minimum brightness and 100% brightness.
The dimming range of this dimmer is 1%-100%. However, some load types may flicker when dimmed to 1%. Therefore, a minimum brightness should be set higher than 1% to avoid flickering during the dimming process.
14. Deleting Minimum Brightness Setting
Adjust the brightness to 100% from the ZigBee hub, controller interface, or a remote. Then, press and hold the 'Min.Set' key on the dimmer until the connected light flashes. This indicates that the minimum brightness has been successfully deleted.
15. Control via Push Switch
When connected with a push switch: A short click switches the load ON/OFF. Pressing and holding the switch increases or decreases the light intensity.
Wiring Diagrams
Diagram 1: With Triac Dimmable Driver
This diagram shows the dimmer connected to AC power input (L, N). The dimmer's output terminals (OUT) connect to a triac dimmable driver, which then powers an LED light. A push switch is wired to the dimmer's A1 and A2 terminals.
Diagram 2: With Dimmable LED Light
This diagram shows the dimmer connected to AC power input (L, N). The dimmer's output terminals (OUT) connect directly to a dimmable LED light. A push switch is wired to the dimmer's A1 and A2 terminals.
Diagram 3: With Push LV (Low Voltage Push) Switch
This diagram illustrates a "PUSH LV" switch connected to the dimmer's A1 and A2 terminals. The dimmer receives AC power input (L, N), and its output terminals (OUT) connect to a dimmable LED light. A separate "Power Supply" box is shown with V+ and V- terminals connected to the push switch, suggesting a potential low-voltage control system setup for the switch itself, while the dimmer's primary power remains AC.
Dimming Type: This phase dimmer adopts either leading-edge dimming (forward phase control) or trailing-edge dimming (reverse phase control). Both versions are available for choosing; the default factory setting is trailing-edge. The leading-edge version is available upon request. Please ensure the connected loads support the control type you choose. Refer to the user manual of the load or consult the supplier of the load.
