MCB Miniature circuit breaker
Model: 8530/1-MCB-STA102-C2-500-3
Art. No.: 272131
Product Overview
R. STAHL 8530 series miniature circuit breakers are overcurrent devices designed for robust protection. They offer excellent current limiting for short circuits and high switching capacity (10, 15, or 25 kA), resulting in reduced stress on cables and improved selectivity with upstream fuses. These components feature a modular design, available in 1- to 4-pole versions, with rated currents ranging from 0.5-63 A. The maximum installation capacity is 4.5 subunits.
Key features include:
- Isolation function in accordance with EN60947-2
- Energy limitation class 3
- Simple replacement or expansion of systems due to modular design
- Easy installation: snaps onto the mounting rail in Ex e enclosures
- Non-adjustable thermal and magnetic releases
- Ergonomically shaped operating lever for safe switching
- Padlocks (accessories) for protection against unauthorized switching during maintenance

Tripping Characteristic C
A diagram shows tripping curves for a circuit breaker with tripping characteristic C. The x-axis represents the multiple of rated current, and the y-axis represents tripping time in seconds and minutes. Curves are shown for AC and DC applications, indicating the time it takes for the breaker to trip under various overcurrent conditions.
Dimensional Drawings
Diagrams illustrate the dimensions of the circuit breaker in millimeters and inches. Key dimensions include width (83 mm / 3.27 in), length (165 mm / 6.5 in), and mounting depth (138.3 mm / 5.44 in). The drawings also show the terminal layout and the 2-pole configuration.
Auxiliary Contacts
A diagram shows the configuration of the auxiliary contacts: 1 change-over contact plus 1 fault signal contact, also as a change-over contact.
