Application

The SVEN PS-600, PS-650, PS-655 portable speaker systems with Bluetooth and FM-radio are designed for operation with PCs, notebooks, and other mobile devices via Bluetooth. They can also be used for internet telephony, video conferences, multimedia applications, interactive games, speech recognition, and language learning. Features include a microphone input with echo function, an FM tuner, and a player supporting USB-flash and micro SD cards.

Speaker System Description (Fig. 1)

The top panel of the speaker system features various ports and controls:

• MIC: 6.3 mm jack microphone jack
• AUX: 3.5 mm mini-jack for audio signal connecting (e.g., phone, MP3 player)
• TF CARD: micro SD card slot
• Display
• USB: USB-flash card slot
• ON/OFF: POWER button
• DC 5V: micro USB jack for charger connecting or USB port of laptop/PC
• Indicator light
• 0-9: track number selection (in Player mode); Station number/frequency selection (in Radio mode)
• MODE: Switches modes (Bluetooth, Radio, Player, LINE IN) with a short press. Long press turns service signals ON/OFF.
• LIGHT: Switches backlight modes (short press). Long press turns off the backlight.
• DEL/TWS: Deletes FM station (long press in Radio mode); Connects an additional speaker (Bluetooth mode only).
• EQ: Switches EQ mode (short press). Long press resets settings.
• FM+/►►: Next track (Player/Bluetooth mode, short press); Navigates track (long press in Player mode); Next track/station (Radio mode).
• AUTO SCAN/►II: Play/Pause button (Player/Bluetooth mode); Starts/Stops auto scan (long press in Radio mode); Mutes audio (short press in Radio mode).
• FM-/◄◄: Previous track (Player/Bluetooth mode, short press); Navigates track (long press in Player mode); Previous track/station (Radio mode).
• CH/C: Switches between stations or frequency (Radio mode). Long press saves radio frequency (FR mode). Long press in Bluetooth mode disconnects from the sound source. Selects repeat mode (Player mode): ONE (repeat current track), RAND (random order), ALL (sequential order).
• MIC VOL +/-: Microphone volume control knob.

Remote Control (PS-655 Model Only)

The remote control allows operation of the speaker system from a distance.

• MODE: Switches modes (Bluetooth, Radio, Player, LINE IN) with a short press. Long press turns service signals ON/OFF.
• LIGHT (MUTE): Switches backlight modes (short press). Long press mutes the audio.
• REP: Disconnects from the connected device (long press in Bluetooth mode); Selects repeat mode (in Player mode); Saves frequency (in Radio mode).
• EQ: Switches EQ mode.
• VOL-/+: Adjusts volume up/down.
• CH-/◄◄: Previous track (Bluetooth/Player mode, short press); Rewinds track (long press in Player mode); Previous station (Radio mode).
• CH+/►►: Next track (Bluetooth/Player mode, short press); Rewinds track (long press in Player mode); Next station (Radio mode).
• ►II, AUTO SCAN: Play/Pause button (Player/Bluetooth mode); Auto scan (long press in Radio mode); Mute (short press in Radio/LINE IN mode).
• FM-/+: Changes frequency (Radio mode).
• 0-9: Numeric pad for entering track number (Player mode) or station/frequency number (Radio mode).

Connection and Operation

Speaker System Battery Charging

The built-in battery must be fully charged before use.

• Connect the speaker system to a PC USB port or USB charger using the included USB Type-C to USB cable. The indicator (h) glows red during charging and turns off when fully charged.
• The battery is an integral part of the device. Do not attempt to remove or replace it, as this may void the warranty or damage the device.

Operation Modes

Bluetooth Mode

Wireless data transfer via Bluetooth protocol connects the speaker system to compatible devices. The maximum range is 10 meters. Obstacles like walls or other electronic devices can interfere with the signal.

• To activate Bluetooth mode, press the MODE button (j) several times until "bt" appears on the display.
• On your source device (phone, notebook, smartphone, etc.), enable Bluetooth search mode. The device name "SVEN PS-600/650/655" will appear for connection.
• Upon successful connection, a short beep will sound, and the search mode indication will cease.

* Some devices may require entering "0000" as the Bluetooth code.

** If the device is already paired, re-activating search mode is not necessary. Select "SVEN PS-600/650/655" and connect.

Connection Diagram (Fig. 3)

The diagram illustrates how to connect the speaker system:

• PC/Mobile Device Connection: Use the 3.5 mm mini-jack signal cable to connect the audio source to the AUX input (b).
• Power Connection: Use the USB to USB Type-C power cable to connect to a PC USB port or a USB charger (g).

Radio Mode

To improve radio signal reception, connect the 3.5 mm mini-jack cable to the AUX input (b) or the USB cable to the DC 5V input (g).

• Turn on the speaker system and press the MODE button (j) until the station frequency is displayed.
• Press and hold the AUTO SCAN button (o) to activate auto search mode. After scanning, the first found station will play automatically. Use buttons (p) and (n) to select other stations.

Player Mode

Note: Micro SD card file system must be FAT32. Maximum volume is 32 GB. Micro SD Ultra Speed cards are not recommended.

• The system automatically enters Player mode when a USB flash drive or SD card is inserted.
• Use the AUTO SCAN button (o) to switch between Play/Pause.
• Control tracks using the previous track button (p) and next track button (n).

Wired Mode

The speaker system can amplify any audio source with a 3.5 mm output. Connect the 3.5 mm mini-jack cable to the AUX input (b). Press the MODE button (j) until "LINE" appears on the display to activate LINE mode.

Reset

To reset timbre settings and memorized radio stations, press and hold the EQ button (m) until "----" appears on the display.

Connecting an Additional Speaker (TWS - True Wireless Stereo)

(Only for models with production date from 04.2021.)

For models PS-600/PS-650/PS-655, an additional speaker can be connected in Bluetooth mode:

• Turn on both speakers in Bluetooth mode.
• Connect the signal source to one speaker via Bluetooth (the second speaker should be in search mode).
• On both speakers, press and hold the TWS button (l). The "TWS" indicator will flash on the display (d).
• If the speakers are successfully connected, the "TWS" indicator will glow constantly.
