Buyer Recommendations

Application

The SVEN PS-860 party speaker system is designed for operation with PCs, notebooks, and other mobile devices via Bluetooth. It can also be used for Internet telephony, video conferences, multimedia applications, interactive games, speech recognition, and foreign language teaching. It includes an FM-tuner and a player with USB-flash and microSD card support.

• [2] Button: Switch operating modes (short press), turn on/off sound signals (long press).
• [3] Button: Adjust tone (short press), connect additional speaker (long press).
• [4] Button: Volume up.
• [5] Button: Volume down.
• [6] Button: Previous track (short press in Bluetooth, USB and microSD mode), previous station (short press in FM mode). Fast rewind (press and hold in Bluetooth, USB and microSD mode).
• [7] Button: Pause/play (short press in Bluetooth, USB and microSD modes), mute (short press in FM and AUX modes). Automatic station search (long press in FM mode).

Connection Diagram (Figure 4)

Figure 4 illustrates the connection diagram. It shows a computer and a mobile device connecting to the speaker system wirelessly via Bluetooth. A mini-jack to mini-jack signal cable can also be used for wired connection. A USB to USB type-C power cable connects the speaker system to a power source (socket or USB jack).

Connection and Operation

Speaker System Battery Charging

Attention! The built-in battery must be charged completely prior to use.

• Connect the speaker system to a USB port of a PC or USB charger using the included USB to USB type-C cable. The indicator [13] shows battery charging progress.
• The battery is an integral part of the device. Do not attempt to extract or replace it, as this may void the warranty or damage the device.

Connecting an Additional Speaker

For the SVEN PS-860 model, an additional speaker can be connected (Bluetooth mode only):

• Turn on both speakers (long press button [8]) and select Bluetooth mode.
• On one of the speakers, press button [1]. The speakers will connect to each other.
• Then connect the speaker to the signal source (see speaker connection via Bluetooth).

Note: Upon subsequent power-on, both speakers will connect automatically.

Using in Wired Mode (AUX)

The speaker system can be used as an external amplifier for any audio source with a 3.5 mm output mini-jack. Connect a 3.5 mm mini-jack to mini-jack cable to the AUX audio output [17].

* For connection with some Bluetooth devices, you may need to enter the code "0000".
** If the device is already authorized in the source device list, re-activating the search mode is not obligatory. Select the device name "SVEN PS-860" and the "connect" command on the source.

Indication of Operating Modes

Operation Modes

Bluetooth Mode

• Wireless data transfer via Bluetooth protocol allows connecting the speaker system to compatible devices. The maximum data transfer radius is 10 m. Obstacles like walls or other electronic devices can interfere with signal transfer.
• Turn on the speakers in Bluetooth mode.
• On the signal source (telephone, notebook, smartphone, etc.), select the device search mode for Bluetooth. The message "SVEN PS-860" will be displayed on the screen for connection*.
• Upon successful connection, a short beep will be heard**.

Radio Mode

Turn on the speaker system by pressing button [2] several times until the radio mode is active. A long press of button [7] activates auto search mode. After scanning, the first scanned radio station will operate automatically. Use buttons [9] and [10] to select a desired radio station.

Player Mode

Attention! The file system for USB flash and microSD card carriers is FAT32. Maximum volume is 32 GB.

Insert the USB flash or microSD card into the appropriate slot. If the speaker system is powered on, playback will start automatically. Playback/Pause modes are switched using button [7]. Tracks can be controlled by buttons [9] (previous track) and [10] (next track).
